What you planning for this year. Me personally is to keep my life going in a positive track, which would be keeping my current job so that i can buy a car and getting into a welding school.

Save up enough money to go to the trade school I want and to find a girl that will not tell me the morning after that they have a boyfriend already...

welding school

A lot of my friends either have blue collar jobs or went to a trade school after high school and quite a few did welding. They said it was great and although the job search is hard, it was a great skill to pick up and can pay off if you manage to find a job.

One of my friends is perusing underwater welding so he can work on ships for the military and commercial vessels.

I wish you the best of luck departed!

thanks bro. there is decent starting wage jobs for welding related around. 13-17 start. The welding school i want is 4300 7 month program that a lot of people around here go to get certified. Yeah underwater welding is fantastic for wages but not for me, i want something local where i can come home to my girl each night. I'm hoping to get into something like i seen not long ago with 4 10 hour days a week, would be good.

I can't say I agree with your thinking. I don't know your situation with your lady friend so I'm probably wrong but unless things are pretty serious I wouldn't hold back my opportunities for a girl unless I absolutely adore them. Again you might feel that way and been going out with her for a few years. I'd just hate to see ya stay local only to not have it work out is all.

Alsoo much luck to qualifying and the schooling, I heard you need like 500 or so hours of welding for it.

For the welding school its a 420 hour course. 5 hour classes on monday, tuesday, wednesday. As for my gf, I've been living with her for a few months now and i want this to be a forever thing and I know time apart will ruin what we have. I don't understand how people do it tbh. But each their own i suppose, different outlooks, different feelings.

I understand that completely! I've heard nothing but horror stories from the whole "lets stay together when I go away to college" thing. I had a buddy of mine manage it for a few years but it's usually a fairytale if those things work out. I'd just go insane with the paranoia.

Yeah paranoia and sadness of not being able to do all the benefits that come along with having a gf.

Stay at my job, save a ton of money, buy a new desktop and car (my current one has 260,000+ miles on it). Maybe try to pack on 20-30 pounds if I can.

I'm going to try my hardest to get over my ex and look for reasons to be happy in my life. I'm also going to try for my driver's licence and I'd love to lose 80 more pounds (on top of the 80 I've already lost).

What's the requirements up in canada for a drivers license? And good at more weight loss and getting over your ex :)

Time heals all wounds my friends. You'll get over it in time and by this time next year you'll just be embarrassed at how much you thought about her after you broke up

Time and kicking ass at life are some definite good ways to get over an ex :>

As for my resolution... make more time for my family besides my mom and dad. That's the big one.
Second is to exercise more and eat healthy.
Third is to keep drawing and draw a lot more!
Fourth is.. PLAY ALL THE GAMES.

Your basic resolutions all right there ^^^ haha

Mizel

Fourth is.. PLAY ALL THE GAMES.

Haha, amen to that! :D

I normally dont make New Years resolutions.... but this year I felt like I needed to. This year my resolution is focusing more on my metal health then anything else. Im tired of having low self-esteem and caring what people think. So, on Jan 1st.... Im going to stop giving a shiit if someone doesnt like me or being worried what they think. If you don't like me, eff off... simple as that.... I hope :P

It might take a while but keep at it and soon enough you'll be like the honey badger..

yeah, I'll play all the games too like Lemon said....

and uh... I already met my new years resolution this year, to stay fit.. but eating healthy, I gotta work on that...
also, to always drink water & limit the use of sodas/juices. thats about all I drink now. just water.... (sigh) maybe i should add 'tea' to the list, I hear it prevents cancer? don't know.

oh yeah, and save $.

I always make the same resolution which is to end the next year better than the current one. In terms of health, finances, education and pretty much everything else

We're all bound to get cancer eventually. That's my realistic chime. You know why?

Because. We've all microwaved Tupperware at some point in our life, and suddenly -- BAM. It's bad for you. We're all already dead and we just haven't caught on yet. Lolol.

On a lighter note, my Resolution is to beat the ridiculous amount of sandbox RPGs that I got for Christmas, which are:
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
- Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
&
- Fallout: New Vegas

On top of that, I suppose I need to decide if I'm switching units or finding a decent job. Who knows. D;

Oh man, I quit soda and pretty much else and basically just drink water now as well. Harderst thing *ever* lol Thanks god for iced tea and water flavor thingies… oh, and I also allow myself wine. Mainly because Im a lush, but also because its fruity… and ya know, fruit is good for you and stuff…. oh, justification how I love you xD

Hahahaha! I'm more of a Pessimist than an Optimist, but more than both -- a Realist. Truth be told. I've gotten many-a-infraction on this board for being a little to boldly black & white, in my day. But I'll try and make the best of this go. Lol...

And Lord knows, we all love a Lush. <3 ;]

I don't really do the whole Resolution thing, because it's something that typically should be, being done all year long. Like maintaining lost weight, losing weight, eating healthier, cutting soda out completely, etc.

High fructose corn syrups are really, really bad for you. The sugar contents are insanely high and will only see to your organs being preserved long after you're kaput.

Eating healthy is 90% of your "workout" routine. You can work out for an hour a day, eat healthy (within your caloric loss intake) and lose weight like a fiend. Trust me. I'm a doctor. ... well, I play one on TV.

Zomg, a place where lushes are loved?! I feel so at home :D

I don’t really like the resolution thing either, because you’re right- it should be an ongoing thing. But there have been a couple years where something was bothering me that I never did anything about and ended up making it my New Years Res and actually accomplished it. Totally a mental thing, but it worked ^_^

And really, anything is bad for you if not used in moderation. Also doesn’t help that every other day the tell you something’s good for you and then turn around and say it causes cancer. So, figuring everything will eventually just give me cancer is why I go with the moderation theory lol

wine eh? I hear its good for the heart, just a certain intake of it.... but too much of it can make you drunk FAST. I mean FAST. hahaha
