A dream come true (Evo X MR)

Today I went to my local Audi dealer. They share the building with Subaru, VW, Mazda and they buy used cars. So I just wanted to take a spin in the parking lot and check out their cars for fun! Then I saw a black Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X MR! One of my favorite cars! Took a look around it took some pics (pics to follow btw) and went inside the dealership! The workers there know me pretty well since I’m always their asking what kinda cars they’re getting in etc. out of curiosity. So I went and asked how much the Evo was for. He gave me the price AND ASKED IF I WANTED TO DRIVE IT! I’ve never driven an Evo before! Of course I didn’t resist and so … I sat in Evo for the first time in my life and DROVE IT! The guy from the dealership that came with me didn’t know much about Evo’s so at first I told him yeah BBS rims, Brembo breaks and all the other stuff. So at first I was very careful, because of course it’s not my car.. but then at a traffic light the guy that went with me was like “ok… now drive like your supposed to drive the car and show me what she’s got!” OH MY GOD! that’s all I can say… radio was off (of course) and I accelerated and just enjoyed being pushed back into the seat! It was MAAAAAD fun! I asked him “what if cops see us?” He said “Ah, screw them!” hahaha so I took the Evo up to 95 MPH !!! The ride lasted for about 15 minutes and at the end he’s like ” the only reason I wanted you to drive it is because I saw that you love cars and you we’re so excited about this car just being here so I let you have some fun with it!

Being a car loving man and had the sheer, extreme experience of hitting 115 before leaving the off-ramp onto a highway, I'd have to say that the Turbocharged Mazdaspeed3 would throw this car in a run for it's money.

Cold Air Intake boosts the Mazda to remain similar to the Lancer's specs -- but the curb weight is over a thousand pound difference. Which is the same trouble for the WRX STi. That AWD package is heavy as hell.

The other difference is 17,000 bucks. You can buy a Speed3 for 20k new. Your Lancer's MSRP is almost 38,000.

She's a beauty, but power + affordability, I'll always love the Speed3.

and yeah the Mazda 3 is a really good car, I was thinking of buying it (as a first car) but the interior felt and looked very cheap :/ is the Mazda Speed 3 any different ???

Thing is I always loved Evo's but after driving one ... definitly one of my fav car's ever! No doubt! I'll have to be friend a Mazda dealer to check out the Speed3 haha cuz obviously since I bought the Audi from them they all know me so I drove a WRX one day and now the Evo! I wonder which car is next though haha! Still have to try an STI :P

Yeah. There's a difference. It's called a Turbocharged 120 horsepower difference.
The Mazda 3's are nice and extremely affordable. They also keep there resell value really, really well.

But the Speed3 is a front-wheel drive starting at 260hp. And it's only about 3500 lbs.

And it's terrifyingly fast, lol. It has a slip limiter for the first and second gear, because if not -- you'd sit there and waste money on tires. In third gear, they still easily chirp the tires and in 4th, you find incredible acceleration -- even though you're so high into the gear ratios. It's a beautiful machine.

lmao nooo not performance wisee!!! I meant on the inside !!! Cuz the Mazda 3 isn't too exciting on the inside :p Obviously the Mazda Speed3 is faster than a regular Mazda 3 haha

You kinda got me excited to check this car out, and honestly on the outside it looks pretty legit too! and yeah it's very light so I can only imagine how fast it accelerates and stuff!

My dad's is like 4.5 seconds or something. Not too sure, but it's sick at high speeds. I was whizzing through traffic, racing a Civic Si at about 130 down I-35. He didn't stand a chance and I was rolling next to him and fake-yawning at about 100 mph.

He downshifted.

I downshifted.

He gassed.

I tore passed him like he'd thrown it into reverse.

Just sayain, Vegeta.

I used to race BMW X5's through the parking lots, when I worked Security against the other officers. Fun stuff there. Lol. Racing up the parking garage ramps at like 45-50. SOB's catch air. Lolol.

Also -- a fun little sport to drive is the 325 Ci, I think it is? BMW's little sporty convertible. Shenaniagns, that thing is fun. BMW's have a pedal overdrive, that when you push the accelerator down, and then floor it -- it clicks and drives the RPMs WAY HIGH. Like a booster. <3 Good sht-uff...

hahah yeahh BMW's are legit!!! I was gonna get a 3series instead of the Audi but as we can see I ended up with the 4 stars on my grill :3
haha how'd you turn in the X5's going that fast? Did anyone ever flip or are they pretty stable? Never driven an X5 but I don't like SUV's too much in general

For an SUV, they're pretty quick on the draw. With that pedal OD, it lurches hard. Lol. It's funny as hell to stop on the gas when someone's not expecting it in the car with you, and you bounce their head off the headrest. HAhahaha... ahhh. ;3

My mom drives a Buick Enclave. The thing is a beast of hauling burden, but it's a slow granny-rig.
Bad-assery goes to the heated seats, for REAL though. That's a modern marvel, right there. Cold as hell outside -- but your lower back and butt are nice and toasty. I say, Hooah! Lolol.

and YES! That head thing is mad fun ahah also what I love is downshifting, when u drop the RPM's and then u downshift and goes back up and makes that INSANELY HOT NOISE!
