Hey, guys. I've recently begun playing this game, and it's been awesome in the first two days. After that, it always unexpectedly closes up, either on loading screen or in game. Nothing actually needs to be happening (like a dragon showing up or whatever that makes my video card work harder) for it to close, and you can tell how that's annoying. Does anyone know what to do, maybe if I change my video card or adjust the config in some way... I dunno, suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help and see y'all!

Are you playing it on a PS3? If that's the case, the game is buggy. But since you said video card, i'm assuming PC, in which case idk. But the ps3 version of the game is supposedly broken, just like all of the other ps3 bethesda games.

Do you run it through Steam, or just from it's own directory?
I have it for PC and this was happening when I first got it. It also happens when you change resolutions sometimes.

Hello guys. Yep, I'm playing it on pc. Foofle, did you try anything to solve it?
CHECK OUT MY SYSTEM INFO BELOW:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500, 2.93GHz
CPU Speed: 2.9GHz Performance Rated at: 5.22GHz
Ram: 2.1GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 32-bit
Video Card: GeForce 9400 GT (v285.72). Pixel Shader: v4.0
My video card is up to date and (as far as I know) there are from none to few viruses in my computer. I really don’t have a clue of why I can't play it properly. Please, help me guys.

Did you change your settings or install mods or anything before that started happening?
It just stopped crashing one day. That's what I'm confused about. I have a perfectly fine computer. It's just sometimes it crashed. :/ I'm sorry man.

When I installed the game, the graphic settings were on medium. After it first happened, I changed them to low, then played on windowed mode... I tried a lot of things, none solved. Did anyone check my graphic card? I don't know if it is that AWFUL to play a game like this, what do you guys think?

Check what the minimum requirements for the game are.

Hey guys. The minimum requirements for Skyrim on pc are as I stated below:
Dual-core CPU, 2.0 GHz or faster (I have: Intel Core Duo CPU E7500, 2.93GHz)
2GB RAM (Yep, I have that)
DirectX 9.0 video card with 512MB RAM (I have: DirectX 11 and GeForce 9400 GT, 1.2GB Ram)
6GB HD space (I have: 80HD free space)
Windows XP/Vista/7 32 or 64-bit (I have: Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 32-bit)
Internet access for Steam activation (Okay)
Then, if my pc matches the minimum requirements, why can't I play the game, not even in the lowest quality? I bet the minimum are the recommended ones, with which my pc doesn't match at all.

Well then my only suggestions would be to reinstall. Back up your saves.

If it started like this from the beginning see if the game supports your video card some games dont support or got problems with different video cards.
See is you got all patches.
Have you looked around the official (skyrim) forum if someone got the same problem as you?

Hey guys, and hello paecmaker. I posted this thread here and another on Bethesda's Skyrim forum. What I guessed is that I'll need a good graphic card (someone there said this one is "slightly stronger than a two day old kitten") and a 500W power supply, as well as upgrading my RAM memory to anything above 4GB. Simplifying, I'd better buy another processor to play it properly. lol

I don't see anything wrong with what you already have but if you'd like to upgrade that's always awesome

I think it can be your RAM memory, if you are using vista or 7 as an OS they will often need more RAM.
Two gigs does sound a little low for running Skyrim. Lol.
Run this test on your computer. This site has been around for awhile.
