Diablo III Confirmed for Consoles?

I think it would be really cool of them to release D3 on other consoles as well as the PC. I honestly don't think they will play as well as the PC version does because you use so many different keys/mouse options that imagine it would be more difficult. I played D on Ps... and D2 on PC... and having played on PC I dont think Ill ever go back :P

Loved them on PC! Would be weird playing on console, really weird lol, but wouldn't be too hard really on controller.

But yea, I think D3 will be a loooot easier to play on a console then D2 for sure. D3 you can only have 2 active talents at once now, compared to D2 where you could have many more. Id be interested in seeing it in action, but PC for me all the way on this one :P

On a sidenote I think the only game I've ever played on the console that I also played on the computer was starcraft...I can remember playing it on the N64 with friends, after you got the expansion pack for the N64 itself :D

Wow, D3 on consoles will bring millions of players. By doing so, D3 will probably claim history. We all know how many players are already waiting for D3 for PC. Those who don't have a proper gaming pc will be playing through consoles. I see millions of sales will be going out on the official launch itself :D

I imagined it as like the quick menu in Dragon Age, where there's 8 slots, one for each direction, and you assign spells to each slot in another menu. Wasn't to clear on that sorry.

Liking your idea though as well. Gawd I can't wait. Just wish my little laptop could handle it :(

Belived or not guys i never played Diablo. From the fist time when i saw gameplay for Diablo I. Something was just...repulsing. I dunno what it was but, lets say it never succided to intrigue me enough.

Just like to clarify that you can use six skills, assigned to different keys; light click, right click, 1, 2, 3, 4.

Im kind of sad about the dumbed down controls. It makes perfect sense if they want to take it to a console later. But D2 had a formula that defined a genre. Changing it is not necessarily making it better. Better better could mean improving its visual theme, adding content and focusing on adding more story. But at its heart it appealed a lot to hardcore gamers because it was hard, you had to plan a character build, hard mode was perma death, and the skills could combo with each other.

This feels little like what happened with fable. But Im willing to trust blizzard enough to play it before I decide I dont like it. They have a pretty solid track record. Except for that whole dumbing down wow's stats thing. Its still a risky thing considering how much people loved D2.

So yeah, Im still hopeful. I hope they can make it fun and still playable on the console.
