Cheesy subject line but meh... whatever.

Welcome Naka, Scott, Scotty and/or Preston! What are your fav type of games?

Also... the hazing is necessary. Sorry, but it brings us great amusement. Although, we cant tell you what it is until you promise to never leave! >:)

Well Mizel, just be sure that if you are going to haze to only do it well. ^_^ My favorite type of games eh? I guess anything that requires you to be physically active in the game itself. I love kinect games and particularly dancing games. I'm a DDR fanatic. Love the game intensely and have just recently fallen in love with Dance Central.

I actually have just recently posted a thread about a gaming convention coming up in my area. I'm one of the event organizers and tournament directors where I will be running the Dance Central tournament. Please check it out in the General Gaming forum. :D

Foof! You seem like a fun and cute person to be around. Scottypoo eh? I've been called that so much. :P Hope to see you both around. :)

Nice! I love DDR too :D Been playing it everyday as my work out! My issue is that I only have one for the Wii and Ive already beat and A’d all the songs :( So I either need to get another version of DDR (maybe a diff Wii one, or Ps3 version?). I’ve never tried Dance Central… what system is on?

I've played all the Playstation versions myself. Never really tried any on the Wii so I'm not familiar with those. But I want to say that all the original songs for DDR are available on the Playstation versions. All my favorites are on DDR MAX2 and DDR EXTREME for the PS2. ^_^

Dance Central is for the Xbox Kinect system. It requires you to use your WHOLE body versus hitting a series of arrows on a 4 button dance bad. It really is an entire different world of dance gaming if you haven't played it yet.

I def prefer the Ps2 DDR’s as well :)

Is Dance Central kind of like choreographed then… where you use your arms as well? Because the Wii DDR was like that and for some reason, I just didn’t dig it.

Generic welcoming line
Random information requests
Random spew about roflcopters
Response to previous posts

That is what we call perfect post format, but I don't feel like typing anything substantial. Hope you enjoy your stay! And I hope to challenge you to a dance off :p

Not totally perfect! You forgot to add in there... Creepy line about being a stalker who stands outside new members windows with a camera.

Try posting in Post Anything .... maybe it didn't go through? They'd tell you if they moved it they wouldn't just delete it on ya :)

It was probably perceived as spam. Who knows? I'll try posting it again though. It would be nice if I could get some "special" attention to it. =3

It is. It's more engaging than DDR though. I do understand the apprehension for that style of dancing games. I will always be faithful to DDR and feel more comfortable with it. (Just cause I'm white and I can't dance dance.) But Dance Central really is fun and you get a huge workout from it once you get into the rhythm of it all. It's really fun to watch others play too. One of the reasons why we're holding our Dance Central tournament in the auditorium for others to watch.

So I "did" have a thread up about the gaming convention coming up in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The Carolina Games Summit takes place February 4th and starts at 10am. However, when I went to search for that thread it was deleted. Did I post in the wrong place in the General Forum or are we not allowed to advertise about upcoming tournaments or events? I'm confused. :(So I managed to get it posted but not really where I wanted it to go. How do I go about getting it to the website and advertising section of the forum. The post is located here: Carolina Games Summit 2012 - Gamers Forum (http://www.gamers-forum.com/showthread.php?p=312340#post312340)

Well I tried again in the websites and advertising section. It went through this time. Hopefully it'll stay in place? :o Carolina Games Summit 2012 - Gamers Forum (http://www.gamers-forum.com/showthread.php?p=312352#post312352)

Stop posting the thread.

I'm not sure why the thread was moved to the GF Lounge, but that does not mean you should re-post it. I am going to delete all of them but ONE. There are currently several. I believe Linux moved your other one into the GF Lounge, so I will be leaving one of them that is there.

Also, please stop double posting.

Yeah I moved it because it was in a board that made it way off topic, but that's also when you had 10 posts, I didn't catch your other double posts.

Every post you've made past your "10th" post has been to advertise that site. So please read our rules if you plan on sticking around.

Maybe I missed something because I only tried to post it once. When I came back, it was moved somewhere completely different and where it did NOT belong. So I made sure to read the descriptions of the sub-forums to make sure where it was supposed to be posted and placed it there. If double posts were coming up then it was either 1) not me or 2) a mistake/glitch or something.

I never meant to spam anything at all or even more importantly break any rules or make any one upset.

So with that being said, is the matter resolved or do I need to take any further action?

Yes, I'm going to need some clarification on this because I'm not quite sure what happened.

I may have posted the information in the wrong place. (Trying to find where I did but the proof is either not available or permanently deleted.) For that I do apologize, but I do have to candidly ask if it's wrong for me to promote a "Gaming Convention" in the Advertising forum. If not, then why was it deleted there as well? I don't wish to only use the forum for ONLY CGS2012 advertising. I do intend on staying as a contributing member as well. Share pictures and new developments from game developers that come from the convention too. I was actually hoping to receive support for this instead of what has now turned into quite negative attention.

I would really like to work with any mods or admin to rectify this situation if possible. I WILL NOT be reposting without written permission however. This is has already caused too much trouble.

If you want to work with us to rectify the situation, stop double posting because you did it again after muffin and I mentioned it.

And secondly, read the rules. You are free to advertise your Gaming Convention as long as you follow the rest of our rules. Getting to 10 posts by double posting and opening the same thread multiple times is not the way to go.

In the future, if you have a thread in the wrong place, you should ask a moderator to move it for you. If it gets moved, you should ask why, and the person who moved it will respond. Making duplicate threads will not help you - you just need patience.

Again, I have to apologize. Double posting to me was posting the same message twice in a row. I didn't realize that posting twice with 2 different messages were frowned upon. I'll keep that in mind for future reference. (May want to clarify that in the rules as a suggestion.)

Awesome! Now that I have learned quite a bit about how ya'll run this forum, may I ask that my original CGS2012 thread be moved to Websites and Advertising? =3 I still have the text if needed. The existing post in the GF lounge is not the complete post.

Muffincat

It's okay - it's not directly in the rules but is linked in the thread about infractions (Infractions Updated - Read to Understand - Gamers Forum (http://www.gamers-forum.com/showthread.php?t=16338)). If you ever have something you want to add after you recently made a post, then just go back and edit it.

You can feel free to edit your original post in your thread, and I'll move it into the Websites and Advertising section for you :)

Thank you so much. You're awesome for that! Although, the original thread that's in the GF lounge is closed and I can't edit.
