To coincide with our movie club thread, I thought it'd be cool for people to share movies they have currently seen and give their reviews here.

I just watched Re-Animator the other night for the second time. Really love it and wish it could have had a bigger budget to get out there more. Also, Herbert West was awesomely creepy.

I'm glad there is a fan here. Maybe you are right about the budget because I tend to like the B movie feel.

This trailer made me lol. I can't watch B movies, there is just something about them that makes me dislike them.

"Just go with it". with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. I thought it wouldn't be that good but it was hilarious. A definite feel-good film.

Watched Chronicle last night at the movies, It was pretty good. I figured it'd be a let down power movie like how Push, Next..ect were for me. But this was actually a good popcorn movie.

Just saw Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and wow. One of my favorite movies of all time. James Bond stepped his game up big time haha

Saw The Grey this weekend. Was really long, but really good. Really, any movie where I can stare and fantasize about Liam Neeson the whole time is good in my book :P

Also watched Breakfast on Pluto…. was…. just very strange. I don’t know how else to describe it haha Cillian Murphy does the most random movies…

Bad Lieutenant, Harvey Keitell is a drugged up cop, who gambles excessively. The plot surrounds Harvey character addiction to drugs, and his obsession with gambling on the NL championship series, the plot eventually moves onto the case of a nun getting raped. The movie is pretty good.

Watching Prom Night atm

Last movie I saw was probably battle LA: Fun war movie with lots of action, just dont watch it for the story and the characters.

The plot is practically alien invasion and us marines blowing **** up.

The Count of Monte Cristo. This movie really good for anyone who hasn't seen it. Based on a really good book by Dumas.

Watched "The Vow" last night on Valentines Day. It wasn't actually too bad. Much more of a romantic comedy. It could have been better, but wasn't as bad as some others I got suckered into watching. Based off a true story too, I guess.

Infernal Affairs, it was the foreign that was reason The Departed was made. They used like all the plot points from IA added americanation, put some big names to it and made a hit. I like The Departed better, but his movie is good as well

The crazies.. it was alright.

original or remake

Death Race 2000: It started off strong but just faded fast and it was short as well. 1 hr 19 min. Just not enough cool kills to make up for the no plot and blah characters

Just watched 2012, was actually better than I expected it to be. Had some nice comedy moments in it, I'd say it's an average movie, was entertaining in the least.

yesterday I watched

Buffalo 66' About this dude who just gets out of jail, kidnaps a girl(christina ricci) and makes her pretend she's his wife to his parents. It was ok, people seemed to like how it was all dark but it didn't flesh with me

Fright Night (2011) McLovin and Colin Farrell as vampires is lol. It was a ok movie, I've seen the 1985 version before and prefer it even though the over use of gay porn music lol

Being the horror and scifi movie nerd I am, the last movie I watched was I Am Legend. I love Will Smith, but this was not one of his best works. My biggest problem with it was the storyline. I got the impression that it was underdeveloped. The movie doesn't start at the very beginning of the whole story and the ending is somewhat of a cliffhanger. I didn't think the characterization in this movie was very good. As a result, I didn't feel any strong emotions in scenes such as Robert Neville's death or the loss of his dog because I just couldn't get attached to the character. However, the last few scenes were very exciting and heart-pounding. Not my favorite movie in the whole world, but it kept me entertained.

I was not impressed with it either. First of all, ANY movie where the dog dies.... automatically out for me haha But no really... I expected it to be good and was very unimpressed. Ending was horrible (both of them). Monsters/evolved humans were lame.... a big meh in my book.

I love Sherlock as well. Wonderfully directed and the actors are great. Both of them are going to be in The Hobbit as well! I just picked up the first game of thrones book and may delve into it soon just to compare it to the show.

Margin Call; This movie covered a financial crisis in a company. Basically the company built a model and decided to test it against 10-15 averages and push the risk and started bundling things similar to how today's crisis was started. They then through out one night started getting the bigger ups notified then started making plans to try and sell off assets. It's a little dry but it's still pretty decent. It kinda ends on a sad note, a sub plot is that one the 2nd in command and what not dog has tumors on his liver and by the end dies and the closing scene shows him digging a grave in the middle of the night in his ex wife lawn.

Rating 7/10
