Have you ever played Psychonauts, by the company DoubleFine?
I heard that they have been having issues with the revenues and publishers wouldn't take them on because the type of games they do are not moneymaking materials (geez...)
but guess what? Kickstarter!!! They put up a request for $400,000 to fund their game and a documentary of the making and they are now at 1.6 million (as of right now)!
I'm so happy to see how we can bypass the profit-minded companies to make what fans want! :) Have any of you played the game? Do you know of any other indie with popular games but poor sales? They should do what DoubleFine did!
