Video Card question

Is my NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M better than the NVIDIA GeForce FX? Can anyone explain to me what makes a video card good other than, it makes the picture quality better?

Isn't the FX series from years ago? I used to have FX 5600 years ago, was good back then but complete crap now. The GT 130M is definitely better.

And a video card is good usually because it makes picture quality better, that's the main reason people get it. The second is probably for handling gaming, not all GPU's can run all games.

Ya see, I don't know all much about computers yet. I want to learn more about computers and networking and stuff. I'd like to some day maybe go to school for IT but I'd like to learn as much as I can before then
