I came home several times in the past 2 weeks with my cockatiel out of the cage. Usually he's inside because of our cat (but he's usually out when someone is home). And he learned how to escape from his cage. I was able to catch it last night, thought it was pretty awesome.

awhhhh haha
My cockatiels try to figure out the lock but you have to press a button outside the cage to do so, thankfully I don't think they'll get it.
Are you gonna do anything to make it harder to get out, or let him enjoy his well earned freedom? lol

If no one is home or won't be home for more than an hour or two, we're probably going to put a clip on the thing so he can't get out. I normally wouldn't mind but I don't trust our cat.

Ahh good idea haha
It's never a good idea to leave birds out around cats.

I had a bird once. Im kind of glad he died. Not sure why he died, but it was after like four years. I hated him. Parakeets, worst pet ever.

how long are parakeets supposed to live? At the time I suspected my mom murdered him.

Haha pretty sweet, I thought he was going to shut it and lock it for a second.

Yeah cats are evil, use to have a hamster, when we went away for a few hours we came back with the cage knocked on the floor and the lid of the cage was plastic so it popped off and no more hamster. Was kind of nice though, that thing would just run on its wheel all night, I hated that thing.

Ugh, kind of reminds me of my cannibal hamsters. They def ate each other. How that is even possible, I have *no* idea. But I def came home to two half eaten dead hamsters in a cage....

I like birds, I just feel bad keeping them caged. Well, any animal really. Last bird I had, I left with my grandpa over vacation.... I came back to it dead. He thought it would be nice to put the bird on the windowsill so it could see outside.... in the dead of winter -__-
