Every time the newest gaming console comes out, many people believe there is no way for the gaming industry to improve any more, yet it always outdoes itself. In modern day gaming, we have wireless controllers, touch screens, internet connection, built-in DVD and Blu-ray players, motion-detection, and the list goes on. What will the future gaming consoles be like?

The world is making people more & more lazy.

Won't be long til all we have to do is sit on the sofa and stare at the TV using your words or maybe mind to play video games.

I see, fatness - and cooler graphics.

sexy!! fatness is all the rage.... once that happens I hope they install a timer that electrocutes you or something to make you remember to go for a walk.... :*(

HAHAHAHA. (No smartass-ness included)

Gamers don't go on walks now, they won't do it then.

But if it was mandatory they would like every electronic device should have a pacer connected to the motherboard and REQUIRE you to walk ye number of steps before it works again. :D that will change society

I don't think motion sensors will last long, for me the Wii and Kinect got boring very quickly, like after a few days.

I think graphics are going to be the way to go, 3D gaming and stuff

Then people would get mad they have to walk and not be on their games so they'd go strike.

yeah but that gives the mass provider the peak to make a system that doesnt require that and get bank ten fold. :D and 3d gaming will be hard to get used to, if it looks like 3D now it hurts my eyes. XP

This topic is invalid.

I'd go on stirke real fast if they made something like that. What if the parents could control the time limit? Ulitmate doom, tis all that is.

We think alike Bertrum! At first, I thought the Wii was very impressive, but after owning it for a couple years, you start to realize how often it can become unresponsive. Whenever playing Wii, I use the Classic Controller Pro just because I'm tired to the faulty motion-detection ruining my games. I think the 3DS is very unique and will lead us into a new era of gaming. One thing I miss though is wired controllers. Wireless controllers are convenient so you don't have to stay so close to the console, but they drain batteries so quickly! Duracell has made a crap load of money off of me just from my gaming >:(

I've actually never met a fat gamer, at least that I'm aware of. Maybe they're closet gamers.

Who has time for food when the world is at stake?

The only game I'd buy for the Wii is punch-out. Honestly, the wii sucks. Yeah it's cool going over your friends house and playing it from time to time, but actually buying it, owning it.

Nah.

I love you for this.

Lol Yeah. I'm skipping the Wii-U. It looks even worse. An I-Pad for a controller? Really? That seems very excessive, bulky, breakable, and expensive. I'm considering getting a PS3 (or PS4. Just depends on the release date.)

I'm definitely skipping the Wii-U, it has some ok concepts, but really, it's just not worth the money.

I believe one of its rather idiotic ideas is the concept of switching the gameplay from your tv screen to your controller's screen. When in the world will I ever need that? If I have to use the bathroom or something, I'll pause it. That's what the Start button is for!

Exactly haha, sometimes I think Nintendo over thinks things severely!

Like the DSXL, yes I have a DS, but you know what would be cool, a DS that is like 1 inch bigger >.>

Original DS, DS I, DSI XL, DS 3D.

We're all those versions SERIOUSLY nesscary?

I swear all they do is think of the craziest thing they can think of and sell it. Let's take Mario for example. Don't get me wrong, Mario is one of my all-time favorite game characters, but the concept is just nuts. An Italian plumber on mushrooms facing hordes of evil turtles to save a princess trapped in a Middle-Age style castle? Where do they come up with this stuff?

No they were not, DS would have done in my opinion lol

hahaha thats true, my parents never did that to me so I wasnt considering that. Xp

I thought I was the only one!

DS is all I need, I trouble fitting the normal DS in my pokcet, I don't need an extra large one. Skinny jeans can only handle so much.

They did the same with Ipads, just a bigger verison of the Iphone.

Haha I cant bash on the iPad I use it alot but not for gaming for school when I can't take my laptop out it fits perfect in my purse. :D and yeah i like the cute little DS. :D but it sucks the new games they make almost obligate you to by the newer versions.... wtf is that?!? and I have met fat players go to LAN competitions:

1-4 really cute guys that I'd talk to (if i was single)
1-10 fat gamers
and the rest buffed out dudes that think they the **** but aint. Xp

I cant tell. But im sure it will look like real life does. Maybe with some freakin helmet on so you have 3D vision when behind ur pc or something bhaha

The day they make gaming so advanced that it reuiqres a helmet to play every game is the day I stop. They're making gaming too complicated with things like the Wii's motion-detection or the 360's Kinect. What was wrong with sitting in front of your TV all Saturday with a plastic controller in your hands? Nowadays, you have to be swinging your arms like a crazy maniac just to play a round of golf on Wii Sports.

I think the way we interact with stuff will change. Specifically our interface devices. I see a lot more input tech like voice and motion control int he future, but also exciting output like better 3d, soon they will have transparent screens what with bioLED tech.

Windows will be the new monitors. Other cool stuff along that line could be clear cubes with layers of screens to simulate true 3d. I would like to see virtual reality one we srart to learn how to use brainwave recognition as an input. They already have some prototech on amazon that trys to do that.

I think modular programming will be the new forefront. Integrating systems and smart compatibility will save a lot of unnecessary work. Even with gaming, I can see the possibilities of modular frameworks for public domain works. (we just call them expansions int he privet sector)
