How many batteries do you need for each Wii controller?
As well as the Wii controller, do you also need batteries for the nunchuck? Personally, do you recommend batteries or the wii controller charging station?

I prefer Batteries, but do you now what I prefer even more? A cable like the GameCube Controller has.

You need 2 Batteries in a Wii Controller, no batteries for Nunchuck or Classic Controller.

But warning:
If you use Wii Motion Plus constantly (example for Zelda Skyward Sword) the Energy of the Batteries will drain much faster than normal.

With the Wii U's upcoming debut, I would recommend sticking with batteries. That way, if you decided to get the Wii U when it comes out, you wouldn't have wasted an extra $20 on a rechargeable battery you used for less than a year. I also agree with Mordry how using a wired controller is better, so if you have an old GameCube controller laying around somewhere, dust it off and use it for any games its compatible with.
