got my copy, at home, now, first thing I did was rip the music to my playlist from the soundtrack. Collectors edition looks like it was worth every penny.

Also, no one can start playing D3 till 12:01 PDT =P (why did they even let me pre-install?)

I get it helps balance ladder and lets everyone out of the gates at the same time, ish, but 12:01 PDT still puts PDT people 30min behind.

There were ten copies in city at FutureShop. Saw on my news feed a buddy got one :/ I couldn't afford D# sadly so I'll be waiting a while for it lol

They did the same time zone thing with Cataclysm too. All content was available as of log in at 12:01 PDT. I was there, man. I was there. So many worgens.

well it seems the servers are to busy. Now none of my friends can get on tonight. This system doesnt seem worth it. Everyone trying to get on at the same time does not work.

Considering we all paid $100 for the game, pre installed it, and waited for 3 hours outside to get it at midnight the least they could do is not end our midnight release with such bitter disappointment.

ok ok, so I made to character creation, made a character and named him, and it timed out and booted me. No one I know has actually gotten in game yet and its getting pretty ridiculous.


Here is the current situation for players from the ASIA region:

-Everybody with the digital version is getting "Error 12- No license attached".
-In Korea, GMs have a thread going to manually flag digital accounts to allow them to play. Currently, there is no other way for Digital Edition players to play and they have to wait for the GMs to flag the account one by one.
-In Taiwan, there are no GMs around to flag accounts.

Hope this doesn't affect the EU and NA accounts when the time comes. We're over 7 hour into the ASIA launch, and most people can't get in.

UPDATE: Asia server shutting down in 10 minutes (~2:20PM PDT)

UPDATE 2: Asia server is now down.

UPDATE 3: Servers are back up. But Error 12 has not been fixed.

UPDATE 4: Servers are down once more.

UPDATE 5: Servers are back up. Error 12 has still not been fixed.

UPDATE 6: EU has launched and many are experiencing "Error 37" which basically means the login servers are over capacity, which is expected. There are a few receiving "Error 75 temp outage of BNET" as well.

UPDATE 7: EU is now completely offline

UPDATE 8: EU has been up for several minutes now. Lots of people getting in. Some are still getting Error 37, but keep trying.

some part of me actually feels better that this problem is wide spread. And that we arent having the biggest issues.

I just started installing it this morning. Had a date with Max Payne last night, so I didn't get around to D3.... I heard A LOT of people complaining about not being able to get in. You'd think they would have figured this would happen and cut it off at the pass before it became a problem.... but eh... what do I know.

I was pretty impressed with Blizzard last night, they added new servers and took down their website within an hour. They should have added ALLLL the servers before the opening, but oh well.
Don't worry about it Bob lol, I would have bought it already but I accidentally spent my D3 money :\ , but thank you haha

so yeah I went to bed, got up went to school, and right as I get home the servers go back down again. Some of my friends took vacation days and are complaining about this lack of uptime.

can we even call this a release day if no one in the world can seem to play the game?

Pretty big fail on Blizzard part, How can you not get this right. How can you not know that they'd need more of everything? It's not like D3 is a surprise hit. Everyone knew this was going to be HUGE. Sucks for people that had to waste vacation.

well I made it to demon hunter lvl 6 before the servers went down again.

I just picked the game up an hour ago. I actually went to buy backs to get Kingdom Hearts II, they didn't have it, so I stopped at gamestop. They didn't have it either, walked around the store looking at games, went and pre-ordered Black ops 2, as I was standing their, I saw Diablo 3 in the back ground, so I decided to throw it in too. Install now, hopefully servers are up by the time it's done.

Servers are updating, again, Im at lvl 25 I think, was fighting with the act2 boss when they went down.

Despite the server trouble, loving the game. It has a very artistic style and is very fun to play. When you play solo you can choose an NPC to join you who banters a lot like a bioware companion. The crafting and jeweler skills you acquire count toward your entire account, so if you hit lvl 10 with one character they all benefit. The crafting system seems to allow you to build rares, Im not sure if I picked up recipes or whatnot, but I it uses points that I dont remember how I got.

I've lvl 15 I believe, can't remember. So far great game, only thing I'm kinda disappointed in is the dungeon art is all pretty similar. Not a huge deal, it still looks great, but I'm still in act 1, can the dungeons are already looking similar.

It doesn't take away from the gameplay or anything, I mean elder scrolls had the same "issue" up until skyrim, it's really the only flaw I can find in the game so far.

I was thinking of buying it and using the WASD script... Cause I like to have my fingers on the WASD keys while playing to quickly move if I need too.

Other than that, it seems like an awesome game. And I will probably pick it up with the WoW annual pass

WASD wouldn't work well man, because the game uses Isometric movements. WASD would only work well if you had your mouse to help you move around whilst having the script active. I would like my Microsoft 360 pad to be compatible, because that would be more comfortable.
