This shall be our friendly adventure through Horror. Let's see if we can keep this thread active as we explore through good and bad Horror movies. I won't be able to start till perhaps the weekend, but figure perhaps some others will jump. Let's try and bring picture of said watched movies like dvd covrs and such, perhaps interesting trivia about and even small reviews or large ones if that is your thing. We can make this thread like a horrorpedia.gamer-forum.com :P. I am not sure what i'll be watching first, but i have netflix instant watch, amazon prime video, redbox and netflix dvd to my hands. So I'm sure I can find stuff!

Creepshow - just cause you mentioned it in the other thread
Candyman - because it's been on my radar for awhile
Dont be Afraid of the Dark - just came to instant watch
Hellraiser 2 - because i watched 1 now to watch 2
Well thats 4, but I know if I really get into Horror this weekend I'll watch like 10

Well, last night I watched House On Haunted Hill (1959) starring Vincent Price.

It was great, imo. It's a movie about a millionaire who invites a group of people to stay the night at a haunted house and offers them $10,000 each to stay the night. Lots of suspense, built up a great atmosphere. It was a rather slow movie though, but you can't expect a movie from the late 50's to be as over the top as today's movies. Vincent Price was great as the host, and the rest of the cast was decent. Had a great Halloween atmosphere, I just wish it had a bit of a better climax. Still, I recommend it if you're in the mood for some a nice creepy ghost/mystery movie.

Die-ner(get it?) (2010)
A b level zombie movie, it was ok. It's basically this serial killer that kills a waitress and the cook at this diner. And this couple that comes and right after they get there the cook and waitress turns into a zombie. I wonder what the budget on this flick was. I'm always curious how small the budgets of low budgets really are.

Well, I watched
Pretty Woman (1990)
I was horrified. This movie was downright gruesome. Lol joking. Watch I really watched was
Quarantine (2008)
Now this movie, is well actually quite good in my opinion It's an English adaptation to the (dot)REC movie. It stars Jennifer Carpenter (Aka Deborah Morgan from the TV series Dexter) And might I say she really shines in this movie, It starts out slow, but reaches the climatic moment soon after the Autopsy scene. It really makes you think "Under pressure, is there really such a thing as trust?"
Apart from the mixed reviews. I rate this a 7 out of 10
I will probably watch number two once I get ahold of it.

I wouldn't suggest watching number 2. I saw it on Netflix and it was extremely predictable and pretty boring in my opinion

I got the original Wizard of Gore coming in the mail today. The remake was pretty good. Hope this one is better :)

Watched the new The Thing remake. It wasn't that scary, but it was a pretty good movie. I heard the original was better.

Did you know that movie is actually a remake of remake? John Carpenters(which is in fact better) is a remake of a 50's version.

It's actually not a remake...it's a prequel. The last scene of the new movie is the first scene of the john carpenter movie...which is a remake of a movie that was an adaptation of a book

Watched Case 39. It kind of sucked in my opinion. They don't make horror movies scary any more.

I saw 28 weeks later, its not very scary but more action than horror.
28 weeks later is a brittish zombie sequel to 28 days later.
I like this kind of movies with military vs zombies type of scenes so I liked it.
But I think 28 days later is more scary.

That made me think of 28 months later and where its at. But it seems unless things change. It's not going to happen
In October 2010, when Alex Garland was asked what was happening with 28 Months Later, he declared: "I'll answer that completely honestly. When we made 28 Days Later, the rights were frozen between a group of people who are no longer talking to each other. And so, the film is never going to happen unless those people start talking to each other again. There is no script as far as I'm aware."[30]

Its damn sad because I really want to see the story continue
SPOILER at the ending of 28 weeks later ahead...........
I hate that they tease us and showing infected in Paris and then just say that there will be no movie..

The Wizard of Gore (1970)
This movie is about a magician attempts on hypnotizing his so he can perform gory acts. The gore is low budget but pretty cool none the less. The story isn't all that interesting. I would give it 2.5/3 starts out of 5.
Next up Mountain of the Cannibal God.
Mountain of the Cannibal God
This is movie is pretty average, aside from few lol moments there isn't much to offer. There is 2 moments of real life gore that got it in trouble with at least 1 country. It's basically about a group of people that are going through a jungle and find these cannibals. I give it 2/5
I got a movie called Rabid coming up next in my horror feed
