The Hobbit..... trilogy?

So, apparently The Hobbit is now going to be a 3 part movie. Not sure if I like the idea or don't. On one hand, they're all 3 bound to be awesome.... but I think 3 movies for 1 book is a little over doing it...

Well 1 movie is only a portion of the book. I think it'd be great if they made the whole book into movies. If only they could do one 7 hour long movie :p

It was always going to be 2, now it's 3. I mean, the book is nonstop action from cover to cover... but 3 movies? The cool part is, they are taking a ton of stuff out of Tolkeins appendices. And since I have had them sitting on my shelf since I was a kid, but haven't read them... Im kind of excited about that part :P

I need to read The Hobbit, not sure if I like those kind of books those. Currently reading the maze runner series, so it'll have to wait, may just get it from a library after or something.

I *love* the book. It's just nonstop action from the beginning. Never a dull moment :)

The Hobbit is an excellent book but noway is it worth 3 movies! After all they managed the LoTR trilogy with three films and did a great job on it. Makes you wonder ifthe makers are only looking at the money aspect now and not entertainment value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's hard for me to decide which of those 2 it is. I mean, The Hobbit could *easily* be a 2 movie thing. Def not 3. However, he's including the appendices, which definitely makes it a 3 movie thing. *But*.... is he doing stuff from the appendices because he's a true fan.... or because he's money hungry? Oh well. Honestly I dont give a shiz as long as they are good :)

When it comes to the DVD/BD releases will they an extended version a little later after the theatre version has been released? This is what they did with LoTR. Because I'm a Tolkein fan I did buy the extended version but it can be become costly!
