I think my PS3 is dying :(

So when i played my PS3 a few days ago, the first thing i noticed was the fan was on full blast, then we playing BF3 a bunch of loud noises came from the tv (could've just been the cables) then the sound stopped altogether, it had multiple lag spikes, and I had to restore it a few weeks ago. Do you guys think it's dying? Any ideas on how to fix it?

You might be having overheating problems. How old is it, where do you have it sitting and have you cleaned it ever?

I have is sitting on a stand, It's probably 2 years old, and I'm waiting for my stepdad to get that certain type of screwdriver to open it

try having it turned off for a week also you an buy extra warenty on the play station store just get on there asap and buy a new warenty so you can get it fixed much cheaper

If you ever see a mysterious white light appear where the on/off light is when you turn it on, then I must say - your screwed. My PS3 did that randomly one time when I turned it on and when I researched around a bit I found out that, yeah, it needed to be replaced.

Definitely clean the crap out of it. Mine overheated and finally died. When I took it apart, it was full of *tons* of animal fur and dust :X
