need some help please

well, this holiday season, seems that my sister wants to get either a vita or a 3DS (or it could be a DSi :cheesy:)

I only own a psp with few games, but not to console bash or anything like that... if you wouldn't mind, can I have a decent review of both handheld consoles? I've searched around online for reviews... I actually want a good review from people who actually own them. :D please no flaming, thanks in advance, take care. 8)

All I can say is wonders for the 3DS. It's light, looks great, feels great, but it's kinda lacking in games. There's a few Mario games, Zelda (so fun,) Kid Icarus, Tales of the Abyss (port from PS2 game, also magnificent.) But you gotta remember you can play any old DS games as well, so there's quite a bit of money's worth. It's definitely worth the 169.99 price tag.

I've only played the Vita a few times, and it's super comfy and the games I tried were a ton of fun (Mod Nation and Uncharted) just take a look and see if there's some games out she'd like. The only complaint I have is the high price, PLUS you need to fork out a ton of cash for their Vita specific memory cards. Can't just pop in a SD card :(

yeah thats the thing! she's a type of person that likes adventure/action/shooter/RPG and thats about all I can think of for now. but yeah thats the thing i'm looking at too. price range... I could dash out the couple hundreds, but the $169 price tag, i'll take. it might be a 3DS, I just hope that more 3DS games will be made soon. 'Animal Crossing' for the 3DS should be coming out soon right? she loves that game.

My wife likes a lot of the puzzle style and racing games. She has a DS and loves it. Not sure if that helps, but thought I'd throw my 2 cents out there. :)

Even though I really enjoy my 3DS very much for the things she likes I suggest PS vita.

alright, sounds good, again, wish I could get both, but she will might end up getting a vita. no price drop is announced yet, but I hear this year's black friday, some places will have the 3ds go on sale at a decent price. if I get her a 3ds, it might be just good puzzle games for her. only some appeal to her that is.

I recommend the DS, it has more versatility. I'd also recommend getting her Golden Sun, it's a neat little game, well worth the money spent.
