How much does a gaming computer cost?

I was wondering how much a gaming laptop (i'd defintely prefer laptop) cost that s capable of running real-time strategy games such as all the games in the total war series. Will it be more than $1500? Also do I need really good computers to un this game?

I normally don't recommend Gaming Laptops because they tend to overheat and die much faster, plus maintenance on them can be a pain. But if you're set on a laptop, a good one would cost at least a $1000 that provides decent Cooling, a good CPU, GPU, and good amount of ram for the games.

I can't recommend anything specific, but brand-wise, HP is good so is Lenovo but I don't think they have any specific gaming machines. Alienware is ok now but they were taken over by Dell so I stopped recommending them. I'm sure they get filled with the same crap parts as Dell to save money.
