Also currently known sales through detective work done by Neogaf;
Xbox 360 281k
Wii U 55k
Wii U numbers are historically bad. Even when PS3 was flopping it only sunk to 82k. With known sales of Wii U across the globe, the lack of games out right now. Nintendo needs to address this ASAP.
Nov 2001 Gamecube launched, January 2002 NPD Gamecube sold 59k
I can feel Nintendo dying.

Nah, but Wii U living life on the edge of death right now. Will be interesting to see how the core franchises do for the console. Could be Gamecube 2.0. But i doubt they could sell that little again given how much the market has grown.
The gamecube was really fun though.
The only reason I would purchase a WII U is for that new lego game.
I would buy a gamecube for hundreds of other reasons.

Gotta remember though that you'd buy the Gamecube for even say a dozen games. How many of those were released within the first 6 months of the Gamecube's lifespan? Give it some time. It'll push out a few new games, the Mario Kart and SSB, then sales will start going up.

I don't I feel like the closer it gets to the next box and PS4 the worse the sales are going to be for the Wii U.

Well, 55k a couple months after you launch is historically bad. Consoles like 3D0..ect prob only did worse in America at this point. So.. If they get worse.. Then Nintendo really has a problem. Also This was a 5 week tracking month, So given then it could sold just above 40k in a normal month.. in america.. thats really bad.
Jesus, Vita was in the 30's. So bad. Both have 2 key problems, console price and lack of games. Consumers arent putting up with no games anymore. Future promises isnt working anymore.
