One of the things I want to try to bring the forum to life is work with linux to draw in some esporst fans. Make an esports board, post links to world cups, maybe get some group chats going to watch and follow the larger games. Im alsowondering if I cant use this to make some cool community stuff.

I so watch a few esports here and there. And I have a lot of friends who do stuff life fantasy football. And I am cluelessa bout football, I know more about game devs and pro gamers than football, like I could maybe name 4 or five actual players. But I could go for hours about esports. So one thing I might be interested in trying is a esports fantasy league. First I have to learn how fantasy football works, but then I do I would be willing to work out some for of rules that might translate well into following pro gamers and scoring them and whatnot.

Also I think forums are naturally in decline because of other social media. But I honestly think they might pick back up because they still make sense. More than ever there are people developing interests outside of their immediate friends groups that have more and more ways to connect online. We simply have to provide the community and focus on what common interests we have.

The obvious one is gaming, and one of the fastest growing interest in gaming right now is esports.

Esports are definitely fun to watch, I mainly watch League of Legends and HearthStone. If I'm bored I may watch some other game, but not often. That's interesting though, never thought of making a fantasy game from Esports I'd definitely be in if we could figure out a scoring system and what not. I have an idea of what we could do for League of Legends since that is the most popular game as for as tournaments go for gaming.

maybe points for calling winners in games and the K/D ratio. Like 1 point for guessing the winner and 5 points for gussing the K/D -1 for each point you are off.

Well, we do have an esports board, that's what this thread is posted in.

Also they actually already made a Fantasy league of the LCS.

I haven't done it my self, would be cool to do though I just don't watch esports that much to know what's going on.
