I'm about to test this game out over the weekend. My girlfriend and I have been playing a lot of Neverwinter but are noticing a depressing lack of end game activity and a pretty short story so I started hunting for maybe a second MMO to switch between while waiting for content updates. Came across this. Seems to have a similar combat structure to neverwinter with a bit more complexity and more importantly, a much longer story. There seems to be 80+ zones and from what I can tell early on, substantial story content throughout. It has a very open world Final Fantasy feel about it. If anyone is playing this game or would like to try it out, we'd love to make a group to play with. We haven't made our characters yet but she will most likely go warrior (dual wielding tank class) and I plan to build my character to complement hers and whoever we end up playing with should there be others. It is free too play and from what I can tell not pay to win.

We will most likely play tonight a bit and if not then Sunday. If you're interested, let me know.

*Edit*
There are different servers so before making a character, we would all need to make sure what server to take. We'll probably figure that out tonight. There are 2 I believe for PVE.

I actually really liked Tera when I played the beta. It was different, nice change of pace. Have you guys checked out Rift yet? It's free monthly. I don't know if Tera still has a monthly sub or not.

Tera is actually free too. I looked at rift, I forget why I didn't like it. Maybe I'll take a look again.

I remember announcing it when it was Beta/just launched. There's still a solid playerbase but it's not for me. It does get fairly grindy after level 30 (not as many quests, a lot more mob farming) but my girlfriend says she enjoys the end game. It went free to play last spring/summer, but there's still an optional monthly subcription which gives you EXP bonuses each day, exclusive mounts, and a "Village Atlas" which allows you to travel to each town/outpost for free from anywhere, compared to using teleport NPCs in each village/scrolls of teleport.

It's an interesting game that's for certain, and beautiful if your computer can handle it. Definitely look up optimization for you graphics card, as it wasn't done very well. The staff is amazing on the US side, En Masse does a great job of handling issues and is very in touch with the playerbase.

Definitely try it out. I found it more fun than Neverwinter, but I fell right back into WoW xD

I'm gonna give it another shot when I get a new graphics card, the appearance of a game is really important to me and I get like 12FPS on lowest settings on my current PC :/
