Bethesda/Zenimax posted a new update today (http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2015/01/21/eso-heads-to-consoles-june-9th) regarding the future of Elder Scrolls Online.

Buy once, play forever, and follows the same model on consoles coming early in the summer.

I'm pretty stoked, honestly. They only thing keeping me from subscribing each month is saving my money to move away to a new town. The rewards for the "ESO Plus" which you get for subscribing each month seem fair as well. As long as actual items (weapons and armor) are not purchasable, and they follow the TERA route, I'm all for the new changes.

That's how they get ya! haha.

No rush though, there's so much content honestly. I'm more excited about controller support so I can play from my couch!

Yessss I was hoping for this! Same thing happened with SWTOR which I'm back to playing now ;p

I was hoping they'd be releasing it on ps3 but it doesn't look like it. Man I really wish I had spare money right now lol ITS THE END OF THE PS3 RELEASES I SWEAR.

Yeah they wanted to keep it with the new-gen so there weren't as many limitations. I've got a lot of bummed out 360 friends because of it too :( Looks like they're slowly starting to abandon the older consoles.

This is one of those "it's totally worth it" games imo. I can't spend $15/month on it currently, but once it's B2P I'll be sinking a ton of time in to it haha.

Yeahh, I definitely understand why but it still sucks haha. Guess I was just hoping there'd be no games to lure me into spending my cash. I WAS A FOOOOOL.

YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPEEEECCCTTTT.

Honestly if you've got an ok-ish PC, I'd just buy for that. Controller support is coming soon! So you can still couch it. I bought a 15-foot HDMI for this haha.

When I played during Beta it didn't run very well on my PC although I can run stuff like Guild Wars 2 and Archeage fine.... Has it been optimised since then?

Kind of...ish? I got about an extra ~10FPS on my GTX 760 between beta and launch. What GPU and CPU do you have?

Intel Core2 Quad 2.40GHZ

2.40GHz 2.00GB of RAM

Nvidia Geforce 9600GT

2.40GHz 2.00GB of RAM

Nvidia Geforce 9600GT

Well, looking at minumum requirements here...
Dual Core 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor
CPU Speed: Info
RAM: 2 GB
Video Card: DirectX 9.0 compliant video card with 512MB of RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 / ATI Radeon 2600 or better)
Free Disk Space: 60 GB

You should be okay to run it, but it will probably be at low res (thinking 720p or lower) and you might be grabbing 20-35FPS from the game. Unfortunately, the parts in your PC happen to be a bit older :( the thing that sucks when new goodies come out are the old ones get bumped back on priority to care about/optimize. You'd still be able to play, but I'd definitely consider upgrading your PC whenever possible to truly appreciate the game. Heck, I actually went out and built my current PC just to play ESO when it launched last year, haha.

Not that bothered if it is low res as long as it runs better than beta then should be worth buying.

If you plan on buying it regardless, do it now. Currently you can snag it on sale through 3rd party retailers for ~$25-35. After it launches as a Free to Play game, it'l be back up in the $60-70 price range. For that low of a price, it's definitely worth the cash especially if you know you'll be playing it later on.

I am currently playing it(since a couple of months) and I am definitly enjoying it more than wow. The only problem I have is that there are some problems with it being an mmo, and I feel it would have been better if it was purely SP.

Yeah and also if you buy it now you can play a month before release and keep playing also :D
