i took it before, and the number is always different depending on the other stuff im running, i've had it to almost 10mb when i do it without anything else running but today its a bit slow

im running the forum, youtube videos, and some files downloading - really really really slow download, i blame their server

Yea, I'm running over a wireless network so mine is a little slower than usual, + im going to be upgrading the firmware on my modem which should make my uploads more at the 1000 kb/s mark =)

wireless shouldn't make much dif on the internet speed as all wifi modems are way over your modem speed and i doubt upgrading the firmware will help much.. shouldn't this be in the computer section? lol here's mine.

wireless doesnt make too much of a difference but a router does lol, i've tried it on my laptop, its aro und 8100 and 460 and without my router, direct from the cable modem - download is nearly 10,000 and upload around 700 :-P lol i have crappy upload, oh well

i have to use router cuz of the rest of my family

My download speed is 8516 and upload is 237 except i cbs doing the whole print screen picture thing.

Telstra cable here. didnt know it was better than a fair few out there.

that happens a ton for me too :mask: at times i feel like im on DSL and even DIAL-UP at certain times lol, usually when ur waiting for a page to load and it takes 120 seconds to load

Edit: I thought my internet was somewhat fast, but I did do a server about 250 miles away.
