Woman injures two with samurai sword

MILTON, Ont. - Police arrested a woman wielding a samurai sword at a Milton, Ont. Petro-Canada service station Sunday night.
Halton Regional Police say the trouble started when an argument between the woman and her boyfriend - who live across the street from the gas station - got out of hand.
The domestic squabble turned violent when the woman grabbed a samurai sword on display in their home.

"She struck her boyfriend on his shoulder, his arm and the side of his head," said Staff Sgt. Larry Masson.
The woman then headed across the street to the gas station where police say she smashed windows as well as the door to the service station. Her rampage then continued in the parking lot where she smashed a window in a car.
When she went into the store, an off-duty firefighter intervened. He suffered severe cuts to his arm.
The woman was overpowered and taken into custody by police.
The off-duty firefighter and the woman's boyfriend were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Masson said the investigation continues and charges are pending.
