Who plays an instrument?

So who here knows how to play an instrument... and what? I have 2 years of piano experience, but I haven't touched one since was in 3rd grade. I'm pretty good at the saxophone though. I've been playing for 3 years and I've tried alto and tenor... I'll be on bari after Christmas. I was in the marching band too on alto sax this year. For Christmas I've been wanting a soprano saxophone or an ocarina. I thought it would be neat to start playing the ocarina... Link is a good inspiration.:twitcy:

I have a drumset and electric guitar at access, but I don't think they're for me. Bass sounds cool, my brother has one and he's pretty good at it; he started not too long ago. String instruments just mess me up though.:laugh:

i love string and percussion - although im not even that good yet on the guitar, still need lots more practice, havent touched it since i moved back in august so i assume i forgot stuff

That's kind of why I want to try the ocarina; string and percussion just aren't me. And everybody I know can play them... I'm going to be different.:-P:eek1:

i been playin electric guitar for about a year now.. but i reckon im pretty good at that.. coz w/o any lessons (self taught) im better than someone thats been playing for 2 years and sum1 else thats been playing for 3-4 years.. i also play piano (also self taught) i can play wat ever i learn on guitar.. on the piano (as long as i have both w/ me).. i can also play a little bass.. sum drums.. and i also play percussion (liek latin drums).. im half uruguayan.. so i listen to all this latin music.. and i just play along in the car or an a table at home haha... i thought evry1 could play liek i did (no body else did it at skool).. but sum guy goes "i might learn the drums" and hes playing on a table... hes not so good at keepin a beat/rythym (thats right prateek.. i mean u) lol and we play together/against eachother.. and he cant keep up hahahaha.. im pretty quick to pick up an instrument... i barely play the bass.. (if thers no guitar around and theres a bass.. der similar enough) and sum guy has been playin 4 a few years,, and he showws me sum music.. he tries to play it (not so good) and i play it almost perfectly (well at least to my ears hehe..) and hes like... 'ill show u how to do it' so he takes the bass off me.. and hes not actually playin anything..hes just holding the bass and reading the tabs out loud "5.. 3... 7..' etc hahaha and hes like.. ok now u try... lol meh i got it neways..

So I guess your multitalented; lol, the only thing I've ever taught myself is to play Zelda songs on the saxophone. If I get an ocarina, I'll be teaching myself everything.

I play the violin because it's fun, and because my mom forced me to...She thinks it's a family generation to play it..and i still dont know why she thinks it's a generation...lol

I've always thought the violin was a good instrument. I'd play it if I could but it would be too time consuming.

i started like in February 2007, stopped April 2007, my skills have been fading away but i was getting "well" with the power chords lol

just dont have time to learn anymore, i'd rather stick to the drums, instruments i know back and forth
