Vb.org is a site where vbulletin license owners get together, gets mods, styles, themes, etc. And I have been a part of that ever since I've gotten a vbulletin license months ago.
Every month, they have a BOTM Competition - Board Of the Month - And I have entered our forum for the January Poll and we have come out 2nd place. But there is more to the story.
It all started in December with Nominations. Only forum owners can nominate and I have done that in early December. Then people visit the nominated sites and "second" or vote for the site to get into the official poll in the following Month. Gamers Forum has tied in at 4th place along with 2 other forums to be the most liked forum from the nominated list.
We were tied at 4 out of about 60 or 70 other people that nominated their sites which is great.
So we were then entered into a 5 forum poll where people would vote for the top 5. We had a very bad start starting off at 5th place with the votes. But as time progressed, we made it to third place and stayed there for about a week. The poll had a total of 185 votes and we had gotten 45 which is roughly 24%.
I really thought We'd finish in at 3rd place which is still great. But then the past few days were great where people just started voting for GF and we just climbed to number heading to number 1 but OH NO the stupid poll ended yesterday. We were 11 votes behind the 1st place winner which was close. The third place winner had 43 votes which was 2 less than us.
Ironically, the top 2 sites that got the most votes during the primary nominations finished the last two with 20 and 21 votes lol.
I hope to enter the forum again in the future and this time hopefully win :D
GF has accomplished something else now, being seen as a great forum being better than many others out there. Congratulations gamers forum and thanks to all the members for your help.
