Thank you guys so much I know all the work you have seen me do is weak but as I have got good at photoshop is my tool and I have not used it in a bit I wanna learn Gimp.

Am I getting better?

I say keep experimenting with different techniques and stuff just like you're doing now.
You'll find something that looks good and works :]

First one: 7/10
The contrast is good but the brushes over the render kind of take away from the render.

Second: 6/10
The reddish-orange doesn't go with the render. I saw overlay the render to make it stick out more.

I like the first one a lot, very ehm, passionate. 8/10

The second ones colors don't work though. When I see our favorite Spartan, I don't think "Oh, orange." 6/10, change the colors and I'd give it an 8.

I like them both alot. Good Job you are improving, but work on your colors a bit.;-)

6/10 for the first one - don't like the idea of the three different blue section

5/10 for this one - missing text and render seems out of place

all said is my opinion so don't take it too hard :-)

The first one looks really good, but try to make the text fit in more, you can barely see it. Try a different text color

second one- 5/10
