I went to Festival today for my school band.
For those of you who don't know what that is it's basically your band getting judged on three pieces you play plus two sight reading pieces.

Well, we got straight 2's which was good for us.
The best you can get is all 1's, so we were close.
I was relieved because we got a new band director this year and I was afraid we were going to bomb it.

Yay for us :]

thats pretty cool, i've never been anything in like that even though i was in a school band a while back - 3 different bands at the same time :D

Yeah, I'm in Symphonic Band and Marching Band.
Marching only goes on during football season though.

i was in a stage band at school (did mostly jazz and rock&roll) and also a renaissance band where we played old style music from 100s of years ago

and then i was in a personal little friends band - no singer sadly lol - i didn't have a drumset so mostly we stayed at school and played the instruments

We used to have a jazz band, but we have a pit band in our school.
Pit band is for the musical we do every year.

it was until one of the guys on the trumpet in our stage banned messed up big time on his solo - i play drums so i play during all the solos as background music and something happened and the instructor asked me to stall so i started doing my solo again

oh man i think i have that on video lol, my parents were there that night taping the whole concert :D

lol if i can find it and it was on tape - about 5 or so years ago

and my identity is a secret :radar: only a few people on this forum know what i look like and thats because they are personal friends - and like all parents, they kept zooming in on me lol

Tell me about it, thats all my parents do, but occasionaly they zoom in on my friends.
