I'm not sure about smf forums, but have they made a bbcode for videos in posts like youtube

yea they do, its an extra mod i can set up, but i prefer not to do that because it will eat up a lot of bandwidth, i get only 5 gigs a month because this is on a free host, i used 4.5 gigs last month lol, this month just over 1 gig, but i may put the code up if i can upgrade, you were not the first one to request that lol, i'll take this into consideration

No it's like bbcode, you don't actually host them

I use bbcode using youtube, which shows them in posts, see what i mean

well the video would be seen on my forum and bandwidth would be used...well im gonna ask my host this problem and see if it will eat up bandwidth, im gonna go find the mod right now and save it lol, if ur right i'll think about putting it up lol, because im not sure if i want people putting up videos here. i'll make a thread taking a vote if ur right :D

ok i found the mod, but sadly its for older versions of smf only, the mod creator hasnt upgraded it to this version yet, i have emailed him and asked him if he can do it, for both youtube and google videos :( people will have to wait for it, thx for suggestion

i like this suggestion, and in each category, there can be a sub category that says Videos or something that relates to the parent category lol :D combining 2 suggestions in one :)

yea i'll just ahve to wait for the maker to update his script lol, its a pretty good idea, like post music videos in the music section, game demos and movies in the games sections and trailers in the movies section lol, have to wait tho :)

yea i tried to install it, that one wont work with this smf version, that owner hasnt touched that mod for like the last 6 months, i have contacted him but he has not replied back :( i'll try to get it tho

lol that first link forum is dead with 100 posts in like its 2 years of history lol, and they stole that domain too lol, probably regged it right after the real simplemachines.org site, and the second link gets me to a html permission for members, i already have that installed, i dont use it because it will interfere with the BB codes, thx for trying to help :) appreciate it a lot

lol ok, i appreciate that :) i hope thiere is something too, but most of the mods for smf are posted on their site, its there, just not updated to this version of smf lol

there is both everywhere lol, just not updated, its not a big deal now, lol, u dont have to try that hard, and i know i have to install that, but i think if i upgrade to 1.1.1 i wont have to, i'll check, there is no hurry, u guys can wait a month or so right? lol :)
