Welcome to my first game review! I hope you enjoy it. This review will be about one of the best games for the PS1: Metal Gear Solid.

Plot/Storyline...8/10
This game has a very interesting plot, because it mixes real life facts about world-wide nuclear powers with fictional characters and the in game dramas the people have over the Codec (a type of radio device that allows certain characters to speak with each other). You'll most certainly find a favorite character to choose from out of the wide variety of personalities and the bodies they go with. This game's personality keeps the game fresh and keeps the player playing.

Graphics...9.5/10
Considering this is on the PS1, this game has the best graphics I have ever seen for the system. I was overwhelmingly impressed with this game's visuals and various movements in which the characters make in the game. It's very impressing. The only thing that the graphics didn't have were the lack of moving mouths when the characters talked. Besides that, this game has graphics greater than a gamer could ask for.

Gameplay...8/10
The games gameplay is very satisfying and fun to play with the variety of weapons and items you get to use throughout the game. Sadly, the enemy AI isn't the greatest. In the game, the enemy's field of vision on the radar is very exaggerated and many times you will think it's stupid how they couldn't see you. That doesn't mean the game is difficult, however. The game is very challenging and great to play. Those of you who like a challenge will enjoy this game. WARNING: You might die...a lot.

This game is very well made, although not quite long enough since you can beat it in about 10 hours. With the few flaws in it, you'll really get into playing this game. If you are looking for an amazing game for the PS1 to breath some life back into the obsolete system, the is definitely the game to play.
