Annual Steam Games Contest - May '08 Thread 1

In May 2007 we held a Steam competition where users were able to buy steam games using GFP earned from posting. I decided to make it an annual thing and run it again this year. It will start May 1st and we will have more prizes this time than before.

It is most likely to be a posting contest rather than buying with Points like before - Why? Because many people already have the GFP Advantage because they have been here longer.

The most expensive game that will be given out is $20. There will be a Series of Threads opened before the Final one on The last Day of April explaining all the rules and setting all the final details necessary to get this going.

In this thread, I want to hear from you about which Game you would Choose to get if you were to win the competition. This way I have an idea of what game is most wanted and what game isn't.

Of course at the end there will be a huge list where the top winners of the competition will get them. But this is just to get things started.

You can go to SteamPowered.com for the list of games they offer. Please post the name along with the Price if possible.

Another thread will come by Next week stating some eligible games.

why would you need a new one? usually people try for games they don't have lol

other popular ones are CSS and Garry's Mod which was taken by 3 winners last time - well CSS was taken by 2 and Garry's Mod by 1 :) total 3

you post and you get games from Steam - you can go to steampowered.com for a list of the games that will be available

it's still a work in progress, i'll be posting more about it later

well i'll be putting that in the rules when it comes up - the person may have to post an entry post or something in order to be eligible to get the game - this is to make sure only people that want the games get it

it's still a work in progress - i'll post about this in the rules in one of the next threads

lol - go to http://www.steampowered.com -

they are a company that lets you download games legally and play them online - if you have the game in your account, you can basically download it anywhere for free but you won't be able to play without your steam account

if you win the steam competition - i'll be buying the game of your choice listed on SteamPowered.com and activated it in your account for free

and note that not all games on the steam powered list will be available for a prize
