Tips, Hints, and Glitches

Ok so I am compiling a list of Tips, Hints, and Glitches for Runescape so others can get the most out of Runescape with money success and training tips and what not.

If you have one or a few label the title box with the appropriate topic, Tip Hint or Glitch, and write out ONE (1) Tip Hint or Glitch. I will allow double posting in this thread.

I will also ask readers to rate the Tips, Hints, and Glitches while posting on this thread.

Raise your fish level! When you become a member, you can fish sharks at level 60 (I think), and the sharks sell for around 1k each!

Well if you are poor and want to make money, here is a tip you will like. Work on your woodcutting skills until you hit 60. Head over to Yew Trees and start chopping them down. Sell the Yews for 374gp each and in no time. Get about 3k Yews and sell them in the Great Exchange for Max Price or look for anyone spending big money, trust me they are out there cause I have ran into plenty of them in the last couple days. Since Yews are in such high demand now that Autobots have been 95% taken care of, people wil be spending big money for these logs and the price keeps rising for them since the demand is so high. Thank the elimination of Autobots for that. You can make about a little over 1 million if you work all day and have a high level in woodcutting. I suggest you go to a empty server and head to Edgeville. The bank and 2 Yew Trees are so close to each other.

Quests seem useless? Well, would you do them if they offered money, weapons, armour, and gems? They do! They have many rewards that could be sold for quick cash.

Raise your mage. You do know that at higher levels, you get access to a whole different collection of spells, called Anchient Magic? It has spells that can freeze a player in a spot for 30 seconds and do 20-40 Damage! Magic also had great attacks and spells that can turn items into cash.

All you have to do is go to home teleport click on it wait until your character starts reading the book a second after that quickly switch run on your character will stand up but your book will stay on the ground sometimes if you time it perfectly your book keeps the spell going and the book will teleport and you cant use home teleport for another 20 minutes and you don't even get teleported. Go figure that one out.

Follow the instructions to get money:

1. kill cows and get the cowhide
2. fill your inventory with cowhides
3. sell it in grand exchange (in northeast of Varrok) in highest price
4. get the money in clerk or collect in bank (mostly it takes a second to wait)

Be aware that in worlds that are mostly very populated may have many players killing cows so you may not get a chance to kills some cows. I suggest heading to a less populated server.

Ok for this one all you have to do is have your person pointing in front of their use home teleport. Before you goes to lumby click in front of you instead of jumping over the ditch you float over it. It is a really cool glitch.

This is a good way to make cash for members.You need 10 crafting to do it.

First you need like around 100k (minimum 50k) go on to world 6 (lots of people).

Then go to seers village flax fields and then say buying flax 100 each.

When you run out of money go to the bank and turn the flax into items. Then go to the house north of the yew trees with a ladder in it. There will be a spinning wheel.

Spin all your flax into bowstrings. Sell them for 150gp minimum and 200gp maximum. Keep doing this and by the end of the week you will have around 1.5m. For example if you started off with 50k you will end up with 75k minimum. If you started off with 100k then you will have 150k minimum. Now have fun flax running!

Their are guys that ask you for your pass or give drop money are nothing more then LIARS and CHEATS. They will not give the things they say and will take your account. Report them and Ignore them. Thats what the Red Mad Face :mad1: is for. The Yellow Happy Face :-) is for friends. So keep those scam artists off your back.

If you want to earned some money you could killed green dragon in wildness and they drop dragon bones and can sell about 2.5k each, it was that before maybe it drop to 2k I don't know. You be rich in no time or pks players. xD

Go to canifis slayer tower and kill banshees on the first floor, you get defferant herbs ranging from guams to rannars. They also drop 13 or 18 pure ess (noted), a full load of the herbs and pure ess they drop will get you 50-80k but you need the right slayer level to kill them. You can mine pure ess and sell it in grand exchange for 160ea i think or you can cut oak logs and then go to the saw mill east of varrok and ask the npc to cut them into planks for 150ea and sell them in grand exchange for about 400ea.

What I found, for new players, the easiest way to make money is to mine. Just mine tin until you can mine iron. Mine as much as you can until you are level 30, so you can mine coal. Coal sells for about 180-200 each the last time I checked. But after you can mine coal just go to barb village and mine as much coal as you want. I've never really mined much. (that's why it's only like 68 I think) But if you mine 1000 and sell it in the ge for max or middle price you will make atleast 190k every 1000. So if you do the math it can quickly add up and when you get high enough you can mine other ores like addy or mith

To get your Mage up, use Fist of Guthix and make sure its a bunch of high leveled players. This will allow you to gain more experience and level up a lot more. Don't worry about your rank right now cause whe nyou become a pure Mage, you will have all the time in the world to gain rank cause your magic will take out a lot of damage on the opponent.

If you want to fish Tuna and Lobster, best thing to do is bring a woodcutting axe, 1000 gold pieces, a tinderbox, a harpoon, and a lobster pot to the banana plantation. You will need to run your food to the bank after its cooked. The closest bank to the fishing spot is Draynor. This is what the money if for to get on the boat back to the harbor and the island. You do not want to sell your fish to the general store on the island for less then you would if you sell it at the Great Exchange for way more. You will have 24 spots in your inventory for your tuna or lobster. If your high enough to harpoon swords then good for you. Good fishing.

For all of you who are working on Construction, don't make flatpacks if you plan to sell them, unless they are one of the following:

Gilded cape rack
Profit: 1,955

Marble cape rack
Profit: 10,377

Magical cape rack
Profit: 31,423

Gilded magic wardrobe
Profit: 1,355

Marble magic wardrobe
Profit: 1,477

Cider barrel
Profit: 2,415

For everything else just buy the flatpacks from the Grand Exchange or another player. You will save a lot of money but won't get the experience. But if you want the experience just make the item for yourself.

When you get to about 75 combat, train slayer, when you get to around 50 do tasks with Chaeldar and Vannaka, you will get lots of mithril+ armour drops and seed/herb drops. Take all decent drops then sell on the Grand Exchange after collecting them for say a week.

Complete the quests throne of miscellania and royal trouble, then do the mini game manage thy kingdom. Get 100% approval by cutting teaks then go to advisor ghrimm, deposit 1.425million and put a full bar of flax and a half bar of fish raw, go back a week later chop teaks until 100% approval, take 525K deposit it and take the supplies, they will go to your bank. You can either spin the flax or sell the flax and raw fish on the grand exchange, as well as any casket loot and herb seeds you get. You also will occasionally get a clue level 1 which you may get some ok rewards from.

I don't know if this is honestly a glitch, but one thing I noticed about Runescape and do not like is how the characters can walk into other characters or go right through doors or through other characters or something.

Thats not a glitch, If we couldn't walk through characters they could block us from reaching places or things like at the Grand Exchange. No one would ever be able to access banks. Characters could block doors and stuff too if it didn't move.
