Steam Contest Ideas

Just over 2 weeks away, the steam games competition will commence. The official rules haven't been set yet but before I set those up, I want to know what kind of rules and what kind of contests you want.

Just post here with suggestions and responses.

Here is one I am trying to run:

There will be three winners for branch one of the contest - It is a posting contest and each user needs a minimum of 200 posts to be eligible for winning the contest. And from there, the top three posters will get the game of their choice (prizes haven't been chosen)

Now your way can be similar or completely different. Someone had the idea of having a contest in our CS Server where the winner of a long battle will win but that doesn't really work in a "month long" competition.

Any good suggestions will get +rep from me :) If no suggestions are given, I will just set up what I was working on.

thats pretty broad to how we can keep that going for a month and pick winners

What about have a Referrals contest? It's sound a good idea to bring some new members in the Gamers-Forum.

yeah i was thinking of having different branches of the contest - have a posting and a referral contest

what do you suppose good rules would be for this? Like 10 referrals to qualify? and of course users referred has to make at least 10 posts each
