Many people don't really understand MSP, they think they do, but don't.
A basic step is to create your lines, don't just use the pencil to make your lines, they will look sloppy, and unprofessional. Basic lines should look something like this:

The next step is to erase inside lines and add some detail, like eyes.:

The last step is to color and shade also add borders and text.
