Ok, is there a game you thought was going to be great, so you went to the release party, beat it in the day you got it, only to find out that your expectations for it weren't even close to what the game was?
I know one: Super Paper Mario. It was a great game, don't get me wrong, but the campain was a little easy, and that final boss wasn't hard at all.

spiderman the movie game - my cousin gave it to me lol, got bored after maybe 10 mins of game play
Hrm... 'm sure i've played a lot on some of the older systems.... but nothing i can think of lately.
Oh... except COD4. I know its a GREAT multiplayer game... but developers need to understand that not EVERYONE buys a game to play it on-line. The single player should have been MUCH longer. Beat it in 3 days... if that.

Yea, I have to agree with you on that. But you know that most games that are great are mainly online. Halo 3 is another, better campain then #2, but still a little short.

When I got Yakuza, I beat it in less than 2 days, then realized how bad it was after I finished it. It left me with NOTHING to do afterwards. What a good waste of $20...

I saw your game review for that game! I thought you liked it?
well the game I regret buying will have to be Lara Croft Tomb Raider the anniversary edition. I got bored after gameplay and I never wanted to beat the game

Soul Caliber 2 for Gamecube... the way my brother described it, it was going to be awesome. It wasn't really that great... I just liked to play as Link sometimes.

I Know most halo fans are gonna hate me but I just kinda thought Halo 3 wasn't as great as it was supposed to be, cause from halo 1 to halo 2 was giant leap and from halo 2 to halo 3 it wasn't, I dunno it just kinda didn't do it for me

Sonic the Hedgehog
I dunno, I liked that game. I guess I don't like how they turned Shadow into a good guy and they introduced that telekinesis guy, Silver.
They kinda ruined Shadow, and they didn't need Silver. I liked Sonic's part of the game, though. I really am hoping Unleashed is better.

shadow of the colossus, so horrible...had the worst camera ever seen in a game. PROOF that graphics dont make a game any better. there was also nothing to do...kill a giant, return to the temple and then go and kill another. rinse and repeat

That game is better than almost all newer games out today. Maybe you're just too impatient to play an artful game over an action game. That game was amazing in every possible way, it was worth all $20 that I spent on it. I'd rather spend $60 getting 3 copies of that game than getting something like gears of war

COD4 SP is awesome but it just felt like it could keep going on...It's like the dev was like well that's enough time to wrap it up and ship it...also I hated the MP in COD4

i would have to say gears of war(360) myself. i jsut don't like that i game. i hear so many people love it and it was supposed to bash the halo franchise but i really doubt i will but gears of war 2. hell i didn't even get passed the third level until i was bored. great waste of 60 bucks
i was also dissapointed in rayman raving rabbits 2 (wii) jsut not as good as i thought. i don't know if i beat it or if i have more to do wtf? absolutly no story line well none to follow. great waste of 50 bucks
i also hated viva pinata party animals (360) you just play minigames. i thought it'd be a cute version of mario party... well it is... just you just play mini game after mini game. great waste of 50 bucks
red steel(wii) it just was not as good as the tv trailer made it look to be. it's just too hard to move and shoot. you can shoot great standing still but to move and shoot.. well i jsut can't do that well. well not accurately. great waste of 50 bucks
kameo elements of power (360) made platinum hits only because it was the first rpg for the 360. it did not have next gen graphics at all. it was more like regular xbox graphics. and it was too cartoony for me a great waste of 60 bucks
cod 3 (360) it was pretty much the same was cod2 except it sucked. i love cod2 it's great. but then cod3 came along and just sucked it up. great waste of 60 bucks
the outfit (360) i just can not get passed the third person view. it just makes me want to hurl. then the graphics are also a bit too cartoony. i do not understand some of the vehicles and weapons but i guess they weren't shooting for ww2 accuracy an OK waste of 60 bucks
perfect dark zero (360) the story started out ok but then i noticed i had to use the vehicles and i just don't like it to be honest it's a good game to jsut run in there with guns blazing but not a good game to sit back and try to use your skill to murder people. an OK waste of 60 bucks
ninety nine nights, N3 (360) was fun only because achievements are so easy to get. but if you love just going into a massive group of people and killing them all easily then you'll love this game. but i'm personally a person who doesn't like that at all. an OK waste of 50 bucks
enchanted arms (360) liked it for only one reason. i haven't played an rpg in ages. the combat system sucked major. you were basically battling on twelve or so blocks. only beat it because it was easy. an OK waste of 60 bucks
so that's about $560 in american that was wasted on crappy games. and these were just with the next gen consoles i don't want to go to the computer games or the easlier consoles don't get me started on handhelds.

You've had bad luck with games.
Why didn't you rent them first or read reviews on the games?

cause i got money to waste haha. my parents make 150k a year combined so yeah. and i make some money too but just not as much as them.
i paid for my own premium 360 $400 and i paid for my own computer $1600 also helped pay $2800 for my car (my dad pitched in the other $1500)
oh yeah we also have a little business where we sell some things in the summer so we make about 10k-20k in the summer from it and that's jsut on a few weekends. at one place we make 2k-3k in one weekend.
so i guess we're jsut business people who know how to do it right? haha oh and i'm majorly spoiled too.

i don't like it because the combat system is well.. too simple. don't get me wrong it was an ok game but the combat system was just well.. it was lame. could have been better. it did have an ok story line though. but it seemed, with the whole demon arm think, too much like devil may cry. with out the guns and a different combat system.

you gotta know what you're getting into. The game is very repetitive, but none of the colossi are anything alike. The landscapes are also amazing to look at. Terrible replay value though.
Edit: Personally, I was disappointed with Silent Hill. I was expecting it to be better than 2 based on the reviews, and I was expecting it to be way scary, with people saying "i dont care how strong you are, this game WILL scare you" I wasn't scared one bit playing it. If anything, I was annoyed with the huge levels and large numbers of enemies that take a lot of ammo to kill.
if any of you are gonna get into silent hill, skip the first one. It's not worth the price tag attatched to it.
