Shopping Cart/Sales Software?

I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good shopping cart softwares or any software that can turn a whole website into a shop. I saw some and i have some already but it always helps to get some recommendations.

Reason: My parents are opening up a little store nearby selling clothes and stuff. Well they own it but my dad already works in a law firm so he is kinda not gonna be there lol, but my mom had to quit her job at the dental office due to complications with her health. So now they have this new project of theirs and I want to help them succeed and one way I know how to do that is to build them a website and see if I can help them sell the stuff online.

So any form of help and recommendations to softwares is appreciated :) Also +rep given to anyone that is of big help

im already testing out a few but my parent's little business is due to launch tomorrow so I hope to have a site ready by Saturday and put some products in there by the following saturday :D

i know tigerdirect has many different products and they are priced well. they also have good customer service. or that i've read of.

lol they sell hardware and very few softwares - i bought a laptop for my dad from them, they are OK but its not what i was talking about anyway

a shopping cart software is like an ecommerce software - most likely a script to use online - i already found a few including zen cart and xcart i believe lol - just gotta test the rest and see which one is perfect for this
