Is it worth getting? I've always wanted to try out the Half-Life games, especially the first one.

Should I get the first one as well? Or just skip straight to part 2

I own the first one for Xbox.
I had a lot of fun playing it, but I mostly teamed up with my dad and we just beat it together.
I haven't gotten to Half-life 2 yet, but I do recommend the first one :]

I played Half life 2 at a friends house a few time. It seemed pretty fun for the most part. I never played the first one before. My guess is that its probably better than the second. It seems that the sequels of games are never good.

I think I played one before. Was pretty fun imo, but it was a rented one and it froze at a certain point, so we couldn't play it past that point. Sucked :(

why for the ps2? i have the games on my pc on one of my steam accounts - haven't played it in ages and i find playing half life and cs games more fun and easier on the computer than a console - but then again, i played cs for like 3 years before playing cs: CZ on the xbox

because....i'd rather play it on ps2....

I don't really like playing FPS games on PC. I'm enjoying System Shock 2 on PC though.

ah..that makes sense lol, im the opposite - i suck at fps games on consoles - except for socom II, got used to that

Yea, same here. I'm not as good with fps games on console as I am on pc. I love my g5 mouse.

Actually, I suck at FPS games in general, but I feel that computers are meant for RTS and management games (tycoon games, sim city, ect)

go for half life 1 its still a good game and you can enjoy watching scientists getting chased around by tiny little allien things lol

I Bought the Game For Ps2 for 5£ one hour before joining this forum and seeing this topic. lol.

HL was one of my first FPS back in 1999. for the PC, TRust me, you want it.

Ive got half life on the ps2, finished it about 3 times. great game, no matter how good half life 2 is, 1st one is still great. (:

Half-Life is so much more thrilling on PC. Especially multiplayer mode....well now I know what I want to do.
