i always called it soda, thats what they say in NYC and i've grown up saying it - but i know both names of it and i know some people call it "cola"

but generally, i just go with the name of the drink, like coke, pepsi, sprite, etc...cuz if i go to a store and say "can i get a soda" they are just gonna give me the one that's not selling lol

In restaraunts they just say drinks now, lol.
I just call a pop by it's name more than 90% of the time.
So I guess it really rules out the use of the word.

i wonder if he would have asked for ID if i said hard drink lol, "Beer Please" - but i just said pepsi and i left myself wondering

Its called SODA!!!!!!!! OMG.... i absolutly HATE having this argument. Pop is what rednecks call there fathers. You call it soda... or you call it by its name. If you say you want a Coke... you are getting a ******ing Coca-Cola... not Mt. Dew or a Dr. Pepper. If you wanted something else, you should have asked for it. In fact, people who just call it coke are infinatly worse than the Pop people.

I was actually in a fire-fight while I was in Kuwait training to come out here. Its not the most fun thing to remember but I know I shot around 3 or 4 insurgents who tried to overtake our convoy.

And none. I did drink a butt load of water tho.

yeah water is good, more refreshing than any soda or pop out there imo - the soda is there for me to give me a boost of energy with the sugar or caffeine lol
