Not only was Kung Fu Panda a critical success it was also a hit with audiences – so far the animated flick has made over $150 million at the domestic box office. That’s why it should come as no surprise that DreamWorks is moving ahead with a sequel, and apparently work is already underway.
Over at The Animation Guild blog, Steve Hutely, business representative for the guild, recently visited DreamWorks and posted the following update:
Every building of the DW campus is bursting with activity. Monsters and Aliens, Shrek, Madagascar Deux, and on and on. DreamWorks’ Lakeside Building is getting enlarged, and the administrative staff is gone from the upper floors.
But down on the lower levels, artists are working. A story crew has started early work in Kung Fu Panda, the Sequel, even while animators are hand-drawing new material for the DVD of Kung Fu Panda, the original.
So what do you say, 2010 for Kung Fu Panda 2?

It is soon, but it's definitely a good enough movie to make a sequel for.
I know I'll be seeing it :]
As far as saw goes.. I don't think I even bothered to watch the last one, lol.
I gave up.

lol, sequels don't do well usually, examples: Resident Evil, Matrix, Spiderman (second one was bad imo, third one was alright), Fantastic 4, and a few others
but hey, maybe they can pull it off - The Bourne Series is one of the few sequels that i liked because it was based on a book and that had 3 parts and it made sense lol
Kung Fu Panda 2 - only 2 years away

i find it interesting because the government may as well be doing what they did with the other agents - don't know about the whole going rogue part lol
another bad sequel was Shrek imo lol, first one was best, then it crapped up, hated the third one

Yeah, the Shrek series has gone way down hill.
No doubt it's still funny, but not as good as the first.

I thought the 3rd Resi movie was better than the silly second movie but rarely has mass murder been so dull. Pass the smelling salts.

I watched the last 2 so long ago that I can't remember them so I wont bother with 3. There's a new Harry Potter this year too but I don't care I've only seen the first one.
Oh and a Mission impossible 4 is on the way too.

I am waiting for Final destination 4 to come out... I still think 1 was the best, but I like how all the movies follow a story line.

There's another Iron Man Narnia and a Bond 23 on the way too. Oh and Toy story 3, Final Destination 4 and another Terminator. And that's all I've heard about.
Ok... you guys just listed off a bunch of movies that just jumped to my must see list.
Batman
Ironman 2
Mummy 3
Hellboy 2 (altho I wasn't a huge fan of number 1)
Final Destination 4 (only because I've seen 1-3 and i am a completionist[yea, i just made that up!])
Kung Fu Panda 2 (1 was so awesome![Skadoosh!])
Toy Story 3
Mission Impossible 4.... SCREW THAT! I thought 3 ruined the series! SCREW completionism!! (yea, I did it again!)

What about Scary Movie 4, is anyone on here crazy enough to go see it?
I really really disliked 3.... but I know one of my friends will talk me into seeing it. Hopefully I can just wait until its out on DVD... so like, 2 months after its released.

Some of them really are that bad like another Transformers and another Scary Movie. But there is also a lot of movies that I think could be good like Final Destination 4, Bond and Bourne.
BTW, I want to be in your will... Could you leave me your house and everything in it.
