So I was watching Black Hawk Down and I thought about my favourite war movies and decided it was my favourite and I decided I'd make a thread and ask you lot what your favourite is. So, what's your favourite war movie?

I voted Black Hawk Down.

I had no idea that Apocolypse now was a war movie.
I've never seen it, so I guess that explains.

But Jarhead is another one of my favorites.
I'm not sure if that counts as a war movie, like LiNuX said.

I always thought of jarhead as a comedy type thing... I only watch half of it, but that's what it looked like to me.

Well, Jarhead isnt on the list, and neither is Braveheart (yes, they fight a war. You didnt specify which type). Also, your missing 6 of the most famous war movies ever.

Star Wars 1
Star Wars 2
Star Wars 3
Star Wars 4
Star Wars 5
Star Wars 6

So, including the ones you skipped, Braveheart is one of my all time favorite movies EVER... and there was a war so it counts!

Apocalypse Now is about vietnam. It is from the 1970s and is a brilliant movie.

Star Wars doesn't fall into the War genre just because it has Wars in it's title... totally sci-fi titles. Anyways my fav is Full Metal Jacket

jak... dont hate. You're just mad because you made the same bet millions of other guys made. "Yo man, I bet that Luke guy nails that Leia chick befor Han does"... and then you threw up in your mouth when you realised they were brother/sister.

I like Star War movies, but ya they aren't in the war genre still.
