For a gaming computer i would say a desktop.

Gaming Computer?
Depends, really. If you are home most of the time, then a desktop. But if you travel, or want some gaming for trips, I would go with the laptop.

IF this was me, I would go for the Gaming Laptop because I use my desktop for certain things. My laptop is mainly for fun.

i used to play cs on my laptop before cuz my desktop was crap - not fun...lol

laptops tend to heat up faster and cool down slower than desktops and i wouldn't recommend heavy gaming with the laptop unless the room is cool with a great fan for the laptop

It's hard to be a serious gamer on a lap top. They can overheat, from playing games all day on them. I personally don't like the keyboard on them, but you can solve that by just plugging another keyboard in to it.

desktops also cost a lot less and you can have much better graphics cards in them and they are easily customizable

Desktops are better. They can be upgraded easily, and usually for cheap too

I would just think gaming on a laptop is uncomfortable in general.
It'd be much easier to be sitting at a desktop.
I'm not too good with computer specs or anything, lol.

Space is an issue in my house, a laptop would be easier for me to get out of the wife way. although maybe i should buy a laptop cooling platform (the laptop sits on a set of fans) the price is about the same although the spec is just a bit lower (desktop 3.2 quad laptop 2.8 quad) i dont think i will notice that to much, also i will only be playing on it for a 2-4 hours at a time so i hope the laptop will not over heat in that time frame.

i used to have a toshiba laptop that used to heat up in 5 hours when i first got it, i used it for gaming and school work - and as time went by it got hotter faster and faster and before it crapped up on me, it took like 20 mins to heat up and burn my lap lol

but in the end it is your decision - laptop is still more fragile for gaming because a lot of games use a lot of CPU power no matter what the cpu power is, it'll always ask for more causing the cpu to heat up and the fans not being able to direct the heat out

and know that fans usually pull the heat out of the computer case and into your room, they don't blow cold air into the pc, they suck out the hot air so putting it on a cooling platform that blows wind into it may not be such a good idea because it can build up pressure and you could get a tornado! lol jk, but something that cools the surrounding is a good idea, just nothing that holds the hot air in there
