My computer can't play many games

My computer is AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+.Cpu speed is 2.21 GHz 1.00GB of RAM. NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT, Abit mother board. And there are many games I can't open, for example: when I want to play Spider-Man 3 in my computer, it'll comes out Error report said "Spider-Man 3.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." and it also let me choose "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send". many of the games also face the same problem.
Does anyone know how to fixed this problem?

LiNuX is a lot better with computers than I am, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your games?

how many games are on your computer?
if you have tons of games on you PC
is it possible you could have run out of memory

many of game i had tried, for example: Crysis, Spider-Man 3, NFS Carbon, NFS Pro Street, The Godfather, Lost Via Domus, reservoir dogs, Ghost Recon, Driver Parallel Lines, Assassing Creed and many others. And all this games have the same error.
Every time I install game, I'm sure there will enought space for the games.

ya, but i can play just a few games, NFS Most Wanted, GTA SA, Halff-Life, Splinter Cell and Call of Duty 4...every time i install all the games from game's DVD.

and if you can't play certain games, it could be just your games, if you have another computer, try to install the games there

May i ask, are they Legal, OR Dl'ed of the Some Site?

Based on what little you have told , or can, IT could Possible be that you Sp2 witch may not be able to play them, you have safemod on(doutd it).

its hard to tell, deos it do this to alot of .exe or only games?
