Most people wouldn’t think a franchise with 11 sequels would need to be remade, but Michael Bay is a filmmaker of rare vision, which is why his company is producing a Friday the 13th remake. It’s being helmed by Marcus Nispel, who previously directed Pathfinder and, who could forget, Amy Grant’s video for Building the House of Love.

The picture at left is the first official still from the film, which opens in February. Is Jason Voorhees gonna kill that chick? Go for a swim? Just hang out in his mask and masturbate furiously? I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet the soundtrack will have ****ty rap-metal on it. If you enjoy movies like this, I'm not going to judge you, but let's be honest, you probably didn't go to college.

Honestly there is no need for a remake, I hope they lose money.

I don't think it should matter if it's a remake or not. I always liked the Jason movies, now I get them in better quality and hopefully more entertaining.

That's really stupid to remake it.
What even prompted that though? lol.

Unlike the other movies that were being remade, friday the 13th sucks. I said it. That movie is trash. Some of the sequels are good (2 and 6 being the standouts. A lot of people also say 4 is one of the best but i didn't like it) but the original is horrible. It's cliche, predictable, and not scary. Also stupid. It does have great death scenes though. It's a movie that actually needs to be remade.

but from that screenshot I can already tell the movie is going to suck.

Honestly, I think the first friday the 13th movie was a complete garbage movie. he doesn't get his mask until the 3rd one and that's not even until 2/3 through it. They want to restart the franchise with jason having his mask...

but from that screenshot I can already tell the movie is going to suck.

I'd bet less than 5% of humans follow that saying.

yeah but that scene doesn't do anything for me. It looks like a scene that you'd see in every other teen slasher movie from the 2000's. One that kinda just shows you everything that happens and doesn't try to scare you.
