All Forums are more inactive

Did anyone notice that forums are less active then they were like a year ago. Like all the forums I look at are less active then they were in 2007. Maybe it was because the next gen consoles just came out. I find it disappointing. It's hard to find active gaming forums these days.

this forum compared to 2007 is hell of a lot more active lol - we used to average 2000-3000 posts a month, now we get an avg of 6500 or so a month in 2008. About 3x more active lol

as well as other forums i am a part of - i will admit some other gaming forums are going down but i dont think it has anything to do with the next gen consoles - could be internal problems

Well I haven't been in this forum for awhile, but other forums that I have been in are not as active anymore. Like Talk Video Games and Progamers.

o your talking about other sites, I thought you were talking about
each section of this site. Any who some sites will always become less active and it has nothing to do with how console wars are playing out, just like how some growing. ppl just migrate a lot and sometimes there is a mass migration away for whatever reason they have.

I thought you mant this forum too. Some of the old forums I used to be on have just dissapeared because they were so inactive. I think it's got something to do with people leaving to make their own forums. That's why one of my old ones died... everyone left because they thought they could do better than me lol now we all don't have forums.

I see this happen at biggest forums all the time, rarely do they succeed though...so a bunch of inactive forums sitting on the net

many people go off to make their own forums using the free forum hosts without doing much research and end up failing - rarely do i see free forums succeed - they are only there to help out the host

i never opened a forum because i was part of another thinking i could succeed with one lol - this forum was part of a site that evolved, i said it like a thousand times already lol
