What game made you go WOW?

What was the first game you remember playing and saying to yourself WOW? For me it would be Morrowind just the size, scale and depth alone made that game one of the best I ever played.

I can't remember the first "WOW" Game I had. Maybe Mario 64, though there were probably plenty of games before that on the SNES and NES that made me feel the same way, I just can't remember them.

It was like 1984 or 85, saw this airplane game on the ol Atari...blew my mind away! 'Course I never got to get a console till the Sega Genisis, then I was all ready a late teen, 1991 I think...then PS1 came out and Tomb Raider had my mouth wide open!!

a 3D pokemon game on the N64, cant remember the name but at the time it looked amazing and was really fun

Sonic the Hedgehog - i was hooked to that game for a very long time, played hours very day - first game i played after getting home from school and the last thing i did before going to bed for a while lol - beat it many times - then i got Sonic 2 :D not as "WOW" as the first one because it was very similar in game play but still good

Probably one of the Metal Gear Solids...I played the first one at a relatively young age, so it was a bit too inappropriate, causing wows. Metal Gear Solid 3 is just too awesome to not wow.

Uhm...Silent Hill 2 was really scary when I played it and that caused a wow.

Fatal Frame 2, which I played for the first time last week, was rather shocking, like you'd turn a corner and there'd be a ghost there or something and it's scare the crud out of you. There's another wow.

Or maybe shadow of the colossus, with it's huge size.

I can't think of anything that wow'd me before i got a ps2 (other than metal gear solid)

My first WOW game was Halo, and the 2nd WOW game was Guitar hero II I played it at Best Buy, on the opening day :D and my 3rd WOW game would Be Motor Storm

For me, it was either GoldenEye for 64, Super Mario 64, or Super Smash Brothers(original). The new 3D made my head spin lol. It could have been anything as early as Link for NES or Boulder Dash for the NES, though I can't remember.

Or maybe Sonic for the all black Sega console...(can't remember the name lol)
