5/10 from me as well - it was a nice try but you should mess with the filters - it works there - and the text is very hard to read - fuzzy - keep the text simple, looks best that way

filters are special effects, they should have something in gimp

filter like, blur, motion blur, scatter, charcoal, etc...they just put effects into your art

you dont have to edit it - just make newer ones, and then later on just compare how much your work has changed
