Had a little trouble figuring out where to put this thread, lol.
But I think I got it.

Anyways, does anyone know of any reliable, cheap webhosting?
It'd be great if you have had experience with it first.
But I'm working for my aunt on her website and we need to start with her hosting.
She's looking to start a clothing shop and I might buy some space for myself too.
... so help away :]

yea hastyhost.com has good hosting, we are currently on their servers with our own dedicated IP :D And i am friend's with the host admin which is another plus

another place is hostgator - i have a month of experience with them - i didn't stay with them because they won't let the forum send out emails for some reason so it was useless to me. something about vbullein tends to send out over the limit lol

What plan are you currently on?

What plan are you currently on?

i kind of have a custom one lol - i have 2 accounts with hastyhost, one for the forum, and another for the rest of my sites

the other one i have the cheapest plan, its good, 5gb space and 45 gb bandwidth - I've never gone over 30 gb bandwidth - i may have to upgrade though, I am transferring my arcade from another host cuz they started lagging like crap and that's about 4 gigs itself so i have to make room.

i have more than a few hosts lol - another i know is called cmodz hosting but i'll tell you to stay away, they have super fast servers but horrible support, one time my sites were down for 3 whole days...

Hast host looks pretty good, and I trust your recommendation.
I can see how well it works :]

Does the package come with a domain or did you register yours with another site?
I looked, but I didn't see anything about it.
I was just wondering.

i'd recommend getting the domain with another company like godaddy or namecheap - those are two favorite domain registrars - cheap and very reliable.

here is a bit more help, if you register a domain at GoDaddy.com - a .com domain that is, here is a coupon that will save you 30% on your purchase

gdp0804b

it expires august 31st. GoDaddy emails me coupons once in a while and I put it to use by telling everybody else that can use it about it lol.

The domain should cost $7.19 after ICANN Fees. still better than paying over $10 :D

Thanks LiNuX :]
I meant to ask you, what package from Hasty Host do you think would be best to buy for my aunts site?

depends on what kind of a site it is, and how big you expect it to be

i wouldn't recommend a free web host for a large site...and they stacked 700 users in one server? they are located in the UK

but who knows, they could be good...i had bad exp with free hosts in the past so i dont trust any of them and another reason i hate those free forum hosts lol
