That's weird how it branches off.

something i'd definitely call awesome.

the thing we see with our eyes is the lighting going back into the sky. after it hits the ground, it goes straight back up - the branches part comes down when the lighting is trying to hit the ground - and it's super fast, nearly impossible to see because it happens in a millisecond or so.

wonder how many frames per second the camera was recording

I wonder if on a very humid day, if all the branches coming off of it would hit the ground. That's how it hits the ground right? It follows the water vapor in the air?

I started walking in the rain during a thunder storm yesterday, and right on the side of me, a huge lightning bolt slammed down and thunder cracked loud as hell.
I almost had a heart attack.
That would of been kinda random.
