alienware is alright - a good one will cost you like $1200 to $1500 - thats for laptops - good desktops are better custom built - you can pack in more power for a lower price

yea use a bit more asterisks and we are good lol
gaming laptops cost a lot because you have to find a way to plug in a lot more power for the cpu, ram, and a way to keep it cool - desktops are much more stable, they cost more, and they have a ton more power than any laptop would at the same price

lol heh...i wouldn't recommend a laptop for gaming anyway - unless you are planning on going to college soon and living in your campus and you have no choice but to get a laptop lol - get a desktop, much cheaper and much more efficient with games, school work, and basically everything else you need to do with your computer

the only thing about that is that its not portable... but thats only ONE pro there are many cons.

where would you take your laptop? friend's house? thats why there is the internet..so you can play with your friend from home lol
and portable is only good for non-gaming stuff - like i take my laptop to class to take notes and use it at home to revise them - and the stuff I do doesn't heat up the CPU as much as gaming would - and i wouldn't advise you to play games unless you have it plugged into the power jack because fans and cpu power tend to slow down if its just on battery

Yeah Laptops are not the way to go unless your always moving around.
Desktops are much better and you can build a better pc then Alienware for alot less.
so, your best bet is to build a desktop pc.

Yeah I think laptops are more... travelling businessman/poor college kid/poor university kid suited. Sure they're great for going on vacation so you can still check your messages and such and such, but for gaming? naw. Just get a desktop, they cost less and I find are more stable, built to last.
Laptops are handy but don't have the RAW POWER needed for gaming >:UUU
Never had an alienware tho D: They look so powerful and majestic.. but expensive, so I must waitlol

Alienware is top of the line products. They have quality parts that will last awhile and won't break down. Other than that, it's a waste. If you are rich and have the money, it would be best to get one. If not then, build your own = )

I could do it at 12. Just have your dad help you, you just have to know that the parts work together. Just make sure your motherboard fits with your graphic's card, ram and processor. Power Supply normally doesn't matter, it works with everything just about. Try to get on board sound, so you don't have to buy a sound card.

Just have your dad or a friend that knows computers too help you. I'm telling you, it's not too hard, you just have to match up numbers and slots.

dell sucks compared to everything else - they use cheap parts that wear off faster than most other manufacturers

Alienware has the best quality parts. That's why they are so expensive. Go look it up.

It's really not that hard to build a Computer. Look up some videos on Youtube, lol..
What Trunks said you just gotta match numbers and slots.

you should also know what parts to get..cuz if you get a motherboard for $30 and then get a CPU for $150...that's kind of mismatched and the cpu won't be used to its full potential
also with the chipset on the mobo will tell you what kind of a gpu will be best to use. Putting it together is probably the easy part, knowing what to get to get the best efficiency out of the parts is probably the most difficult.
