my mom just went to the local mini mart for a loaf of bread, when she walked in I asked "where's the bread?" she replied"I''m not paying 3.49 a loaf" that's insane and overpriced...6 months you get a loaf at that store for 1.19

Thats just a little too much for bread. Everything is just too much for the last few years. All we can do is hope that John McCain Or Barack Obama can do something about everything like gas milk bread everthing

thread moved to post anything board - not really spammy and its bringing out good points :)

my family goes through a gallon of milk every 2-4 days - and i am always the one that has to go out and get the milk when its out lol - and i put milk in my coffee when i drink so i am dependent on it too

eggs already rose - i have eggs from time to time - used to cost us around $0.79 for a dozen eggs, the last time i bought eggs it was $2.19 for a pack of 18 eggs - its a saving cuz a dozen eggs cost $1.89 now...get 6 extra and save some money

Yea, I think its horrible everywhere.

4.50 for a gallon of milk,
3.80 for a loaf of bread here.
Gas isn't at 4.00 anymore...thank goodness...still needs to be lower.

we are all suffering, the cheapest milk near me costs $4 in any grocer around me, bread is no less than $2 for cheap quality and eggs are $2 a dozen, makes me sad, might need a job soon

we dont have a walmart near us...there is one after like an hour drive but there is like 8 big supermarkets withing walking distance so we don't go to walmart or anything for food and stuff - if their prices stay low and everything here rises, we might have to

But then the price of gas might even it up. :mask:

Didn't NYC ban Wal-Marts from coming close to the mom and pop stores of NYC? IIRC they did that to stop the Wal Mart effect, which if anyone doesn't know...Wal Mart moves in uses it's corporate muscle and in effect stores can't compete and are forced to close.

There are 3 walmarts within a reasonable driving distance of my home. I hate going to the place but they do have good prices on somethings. I live with my Boyfriend and my brother. And I have a 2 year old son...the economy sucks and things are kinda hard. But thankfully my bro and my BF both have decent jobs. I'm about to have to find one myself. I'll be sad to leave my little man a daycare. : ( but you gotta do what you gotta do to take care of your family.
