I got a ps3!

Ok so my dad bought a ps3 last week, and you see, he kind of bought it more for himself. Anyway, my dad wants to buy some shooting games, not my style, but whatever. XD So, what games should he buy?
If my dad is gonna get into games, I want him to get into GOOD ones. =P Lol.

thats cool - MGS 4 is a very good shooting game, also partly action which is good - other than that I haven't played many shooters on the ps3, only a few racers and fighting games, i am sure there will be a few good suggestions here by some other members that have the ps3

MGS 4 is really good. Call of duty 4 is good. Resistance is good and it should be fairly cheap now. Warhawk is good if you think he will like online play. Battlefield Bad company is fun.Rainbow six Vegas 2 is pretty cool. The orange box is awesome. Fear is cool..

You need Resistance! it's the most awesome online game ever!. Call of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 are really good too. And Condemned 2 should be good well I hope so since I've bought it but haven't played it yet.

Uncharted is more of a adventure game but has lots of shooting in it, get that it's great+ it's currently one of the few games that has trophy support. I had loads of fun with Stranglehold and The Darkness and seeing no else cared about those 2 they are really cheap right now. Ratchet and Clank is a platformer but who can resist shooting all the awesome weapons that Insomniac have blessed the game with, also Quest for Booty comes out this week for 15 on PSN. 3 other games that I have my eye on but haven't bought yet are Haze, The Club and Turok..tell him to try the demo's. Speaking of PSN, Super Stardust HD are Blast Factor nice shmup's

From my understanding that The Club's appeal is for ppl that have friends and family over a lot and like high score contests.

first off, metal gear solid 4 is a stealth game. Shooting is a last resort.

Anyways, if you want him to get into GOOD games, then don't have him get into shooters. Have him get like Ratchet and Clank. Or maybe Oblivion/Uncharted/Ninja Gaiden/Assassin's Creed/something else at least decently cool.

You know people have different gaming tastes than you right? and you know not everyone is anti shooter like you right? respect his opinion and his topic, he made a topic in the shooter section because he wants to know shooters.

I went to Game Stop in the mall today.
My dad was thinking about buying MGS4 and Call of Duty.
I didn't notice some of the games you guys mentioned, but I will ask about it.
Oh! I noticed a Sonic game for the Ps3. I want it... XD
